Callaway is a division rival to my alma mater. They are a Jackson Public School so they are pretty terrible.

Meridian isn't very good this year if they lost to Olive Branch.

QB Jacoby Daniel and RB Joshua Martin are threats in the backfield, but the Vikings are young on defense – starting six sophomores.

The Toros won last year’s game 26-7 On the Hill. … Daphne opened the 2017 season with a 3-0 win over Class 7A Davidson at Ladd-Peebles Stadium last week. The Trojans overcame 115 yards of penalties to avenge a loss to the Warriors last season. Diego Guajardo’s 22-yard field goal was the difference. The Trojan defense limited Davidson to just four first downs – three by penalty – and 25 yards of total offense on 38 plays. … For the second straight year, Spanish Fort opened with a loss to Class 7A McGill-Toolen. The Yellow Jackets took a 27-13 lead midway through the fourth quarter and held on for a 27-20 win. Three Spanish Fort turnovers proved to be a big difference. The Toros also played most of the second half without star sophomore Kris Abrams-Draine, who was sidelined with cramps. With Abrams-Draine out of the lineup, Conner Hegan carried the load, rushing for 110 yards on 23 carries. He also had a receiving TD. ... The game will be televised by WJTC-UTV 44.
