Slade Bolden is going to be freakin awesome for us. He could be an electric slot guy, do end arounds, with pass options, return man. Im stoked to get him.
He is going to be an animal. I can't wait to see him suit up for us.

I must be the only one that actually likes Joiner. Maybe i just need to see more of him. Anyone actually seen a game of his live?
I think a lot of the Joiner dislike is due to the things he's said moreso than his ability.

Bossier City (La.) Parkway 2018 five-star receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. released a new list of top schools Sunday evening.
Marshall, who previously included LSU, Texas, Texas A&M, and Miami as his top four, announced a top five of Alabama, Texas A&M, Texas, LSU, and Florida State.
Marshall released the new list via Twitter:
Top 5 Schools
Alabama, Texas A&M, Texas Longhorns, LSU & Florida State.
Please respect my decision. #M2B
— Terrace Marshall Jr. (@Terracemjr) August 28, 2017
With that said, the Crystal Ball has trended heavily toward LSU for some time.
Marshall is not only the No. 1 receiver in Louisiana, but the No. 1 overall prospect in the state of Louisiana. He's the No. 10 overall prospect in the 2018 Scout 300, as well as the No. 2 receiver nationally.
As a junior in 2016, Marshall caught 55 passes for 1,250 yards and 15 touchdowns on 22.7 yards per reception.
Bossier City Parkway features the top two players in the state of Louisiana for the 2018 class in Marshall and Scout 100 four-star quarterback Justin Rogers, who is committed to TCU. They return for their senior seasons after leading Parkway to an 11-2 record last year.
Marshall has another teammate, high-ceiling three-star safety Israel Mukuamu, who is committed to Florida State. Mukuamu moved to Parkway from South Carolina during this past winter break.

It'd be pretty damn awesome to swoop in and steal Marshall at the last minute.

After dropping Alabama in the spring, five-star receiver Terrace Marshall has the Crimson Tide back in the running, he officially announced Sunday night on Twitter.
Alongside Alabama, the Bossier City (La.) Parkway product is considering Florida State, LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M.
Earlier this month, BamaOnLine reported that Marshall would be taking an official visit to Tuscaloosa sometime in November, according to his father, which essentially signified the Tide back in contention.
As recently as The Opening Finals, Marshall was not considering Alabama despite the staff working to get back in the mix.
With Sunday night's developments it now looks like Bama is back in the thick of things, where it was early on in Marshall's recruitment when he visited Tuscaloosa several times.
At 6-foot-2.5, 192 pounds, Marshall is rated the No. 1 receiver and the No. 8 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
The Crystal Ball favors LSU at 95 percent.
With four-star receiver Xavier Williams and three-star all-purpose back Slade Bolden committed, the Tide is likely to take two to three more receivers in the 2018 class.

Marshall's former head coach was the idiot who was fired for banning Alabama from his high school.

Ranking Louisiana's top 10 RB recruits over the last 5 years
He was on campus this weekend.
quote:
No. 5 Tyrion Davis, Southern Lab, 2019
Davis is a bruising runner, with good balance and vision. He lacks great top-end speed, but his ability to run between the tackles makes him very valuable for a team trying to utilize a power running game--like LSU--where he is currently committed to play at the next level.
He was on campus this weekend.

No. 2 John Emery, Destrehan, 2019
I love John Emery's game. The explosive, versatile back is elite in my opinion, and I expect the national media to get on board once his junior season comes to an end. He has great top-end speed, balance, vision and strength, and is even capable of being a receiving threat out of the backfield.
We haven't offered yet, but I'm sure we will.

The NCAA decided that they wanted to enforce a dead period for the month of August, but as is the case too often when dealing with the governing body of major collegiate sports, the rule just did not make sense.
Due to some teams having games scheduled to take place in the month of August, schools pushed back in search of a waiver on the rule, so visits could take place, and the NCAA had little choice but to grant the blanket waiver, ultimately ending the dead period a week early on August 24.
LSU and likely every other school in the country took advantage of the change by hosting top targets and recruits for visits this weekend. The Tigers staff was able to lure many in-state guys to its campus, allowing for a much needed refresher with some of its top targets.
LSU defensive back commit Kelvin Joseph and secondary teammate Dorian Camel were able to make their way to campus. Joseph, who is still looking at Alabama and others, continues to receive a lot of attention from the LSU staff. Camel is still being evaluated by LSU, who only has two defensive back commitments for the 2018 class.
Joseph was able to hook up with his close friend Devonta Jason, as the Kansas commit was also on hand Saturday. The one-time LSU commit is being courted heavily by LSU wide receiver coach Mickey Joseph.
LSU continues to build on its relationships with standout 2019 defensive backs Derek Stingley Jr. and Devin Bush, both of whom made their way to campus on Saturday. Bush is considered to be a LSU lean, while Stingley Jr., the former LSU commit, continues to look at other programs, including LSU, as he reassesses his recruitment. The visit was said to be a successful one by sources close to the situation.
Premier 2017 wide receivers Trey Palmer and Devonta Lee made their way to campus. The close friends from Tangipahoa Parish continue to closely follow LSU, as they sort through their assortment of offers from leading programs. Offensive coordinator Matt Canada is their area recruiter, and he understands the value of reeling in these two elite receivers.

Alabama Recruiting Notebook (Al.com)

In late March, five-star Bossier City, La., receiver Terrace Marshall said he wasn't considering Alabama after not hearing much from the Crimson Tide.
The 6-foot-2, 192-pound Marshall, the No. 8 prospect nationally in the 247Sports composite, changed his tune on Sunday, releasing a top five that included Alabama, LSU, Texas, Texas A&M and Florida State.
His previous coach was fired in the spring after announcing that he was banning Alabama head coach Nick Saban from the Bossier City campus.
Of 23 predictions in the 247Sports crystal ball, 96 percent are for LSU. But now Alabama has a chance. The Crimson Tide has commitments from south Florida four-star Xavier Williams and West Monroe, La., three-star Slade Bolden at the receiver position, but hope to add another physical threat that Marshall would bring.
Now, at least there is a chance.
Marshall had 55 receptions for 1,250 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior.

In other Alabama/LSU recruiting battles, former Tiger defensive back commit Nadab Joseph announced a top five of those two schools plus Florida State, Georgia and Oregon.
Joseph recently decommitted from LSU. Earlier this summer, he said he would make an official visit to Alabama for the weekend of the LSU game in early November. The Hiaheah, Fla., standout is a four-star recruit.

Two LSU class of 2019 commits visited Alabama on Saturday for practice - five-star Baton Rouge, La., offensive lineman Kardell Thomas and teammate Tyrion Davis, a four-star running back.
