15. Marlon Humphrey (2014 - 12th nationally)
The Hoover standout and son of former Crimson Tide and NFL running back Bobby Humphrey, Marlon chose Alabama over Florida State not long before Signing Day.
Humphrey at Alabama
Humphrey redshirted in 2014, but became an impact player for the Crimson Tide over his two seasons that he played. Humphrey started both seasons and was an All-American pick as a sophomore. He was picked 16th overall in this year’s NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens.

14. RB Derrick Henry (2013 - 12th nationally)
The one-time Georgia commit from Yulee, Fla., switched to Alabama not long after a visit to Tuscaloosa in the summer of 2012.
Henry at Alabama
Henry broke out as a true freshman in the 2013 Sugar Bowl. He was a beast over his last two seasons, rushing for 3,591 yards and 42 touchdowns in his career. Henry’s 2,219 yards rushing and 28 touchdowns in 2015 propelled him to the Heisman Trophy award that year.
Henry broke Shaun Alexander’s career rushing record in 2015.

quote:
13. WR Calvin Ridley (2015 - 11th nationally)
Ridley committed to Alabama at A-Day 2014 out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and there was never much drama despite pushes from Florida State and Miami.
Ridley at Alabama
Ridley has lived up to the five-star billing, emerging as the Crimson Tide’s go-to receiver as a true freshman when the Tide won the national championship in 2015. This is Ridley’s junior year and likely his last as he should be an NFL prospect next spring.
Ridley set UA freshman records with 89 receptions for 1,045 yards and he scored seven times. As a sophomore, Ridley had 72 catches for 769 yards and seven touchdowns. He remains the No. 1 option in the pass game.

12. LB Ben Davis (2016 - 10th nationally)
Davis’ father Wayne is an Alabama legacy, but the Gordo standout took all five of his official visits. Alabama edged out Auburn in the end.
Davis at Alabama
Davis’ career got off to a slow start, as the state’s top prospect in the 2016 class was forced into a redshirt after injuries affected him. The 6-foot-4, 237-pound Davis still has plenty of promise, but is deep into a crowded set of linebackers.

11. DB Tony Brown (2015 - 9th nationally)
The five-star track athlete from Beaumont, Texas chose Alabama despite many predictions that he would sign with LSU.
Brown at Alabama
Brown’s career at Alabama has had its ups and downs, as he was arrested as a true freshman, set home from bowl practices in 2015 and was suspended for the first four games last season.
Brown could start at one cornerback spot this season, his senior year. He had 32 tackles and two interceptions last season.

No problem
. It makes guys like Coynis Miller and Bobby Brown an even bigger priority now. Apparently there are a couple other JUCO DT's we are still looking at - Caleb Tremblay and Tayland Humphrey.

10. LB Reuben Foster (2013 - 7th nationally)
Foster had plenty of drama, committing to Alabama and switching to Auburn. He even got an Auburn tattoo, but chose the Crimson Tide after head coach Gene Chizik was fired. Foster played his senior season at Auburn High.
Foster at Alabama
It took two seasons for Foster to blossom at Alabama, but he became one of college football’s best linebackers in 2015. He won the Butkus Award for the country’s best linebacker in 2016, a year where he earned All-SEC and All-America honors.
Foster had 73 tackles as a junior and 115 as a senior with 13 for loss and five sacks. His NFL Draft stock fell from top 10 to No. 31 overall by the San Francisco 49ers after a positive drug test and injury concerns, but Foster still has a bright future.

9. Landon Collins (2012 - 7th nationally)
Collins, from Dutchtown High School in Louisiana, announced his commitment to Alabama at the Under Armour All-American game, though his mother visibly disagreed with the choice.
Collins at Alabama
Collins became a starter as a sophomore in 2013 and was an All-American in 2014. He recorded 170 tackles and five interceptions in his career and won one national championship. Collins was an early second-round pick by the New York Giants in 2015, but went to the Pro Bowl last season and is now regarded as one of the top safeties in the NFL.

8. DB HaHa Clinton-Dix (2011 - 7th nationally)
Out of Orlando’s Dr. Phillips High, Clinton-Dix committed to Alabama 10 months before National Signing Day, choosing the Crimson Tide over USC, Florida State, Michigan and several more powers. He signed with fellow five-star Dee Hart, but had more success at Alabama than Hart did.
Clinton-Dix at Alabama
Clinton-Dix won two national championships and was the starter for most of his sophomore and junior seasons, recording seven interceptions on his career. Clinton-Dix did miss two games due to a suspension in 2013, but was a first-round NFL Draft pick by the Green Bay Packers in 2014 and a Pro Bowler last season.

quote:
7. RB Trent Richardson (2009 - 6th nationally)
The elite Pensacola, Fla. running back chose Alabama in the summer of 2008 over LSU and others.
Richardson at Alabama
Richardson burst onto the scene as a true freshman, backing up Mark Ingram but rushing or 784 yards en route to a national title. Richardson added 719 yards as a sophomore, but ran or 1,740 as a junior and scored 43 career touchdowns. He finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting that year, but helped Alabama to another national champioship.
Richardson was drafted No. 3 overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2012, but is now out of the league and is one of the biggest NFL Draft busts in history. But he lived up to his five-star status at Alabama.

quote:
6. DL Da'Shawn Hand (2014 - 5th nationally)
Hand also committed fairly early from Woodbridge, Va., choosing the Crimson Tide when Michigan was perceived as the heavy favorite.
Hand at Alabama
The 6-foot-4, 288-pound Hand has not yet lived up to the potential bestowed upon him. Rivals had Hand as its No. 1 overall recruit in 2014. But he’s also been behind Jonathan Allen and Dalvin Tomlinson in the fight for playing time. This is Hand’s last chance as a senior to secure a starting spot and he is the favorite to do so at one end position.
Hand has made an impact when in, recording 21 tackles, 3.5 for loss with two sacks as a junior. But he was recently arrested and charged with DUI.

5. OL Cam Robinson (2014 - 4th nationally)
The five-star was the nation’s top offensive tackle from West Monroe, La. and left his home state to play for the Crimson Tide, committing early in the process.
Robinson at Alabama
Robinson became an instant starter at left tackle and was one of college football’s best offensive lineman over his three-year college career. He was arrested, but not prosecuted before the 2016 season on marijuana and weapons charges. He won the Jacobs and Outland trophies after the 2016 season and was a second-round NFL Draft pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

4. OL Alex Leatherwood (2017 - 4th nationally)
The massive tackle from Pensacola, Fla. committed to Alabama before his junior season and stuck with that, despite big pushes from Florida, Michigan and others.
Leatherwood at Alabama
Leatherwood enrolled for spring practice and many thought he would secure a starting spot on the offensive line. That has not happened - yet. The 6-foot-6, 322-pound Leatherwood could still emerge as the starter at right tackle after fall practice.

3. RB Najee Harris (2017 - 3rd nationally)
The Antioch, Calif., star Harris was ranked No. 1 for most of his recruiting process, but dipped slightly after battling injuries as a sophomore. AL.com was on hand when he showed up to the Birmingham airport after the U.S. Army All-American game, spurning a charge from Michigan.
Harris at Alabama
They don’t make freshmen like the 6-foot-2, 227-pound Harris. He’s battling with four other high-profile recruits and two who had most of the carries last year in Bo Scarbrough and Damien Harris, but his talent is too good to keep him off the field.

quote:
2. WR Julio Jones (2008 - No. 3 nationally)
Jones was the first great recruiting win for Nick Saban at Alabama, even in a very loaded 2008 class. Jones chose Alabama on National Signing Day over Florida, Florida State, Oklahoma and Texas Tech. The state hasn’t seen any offensive player like the Foley standout since.
Jones at Alabama
Jones started every game he played at during his three-year career, even playing through a broken hand in 2010. He caught 179 passes for 2,653 yards and 15 touchdowns. Jones was a freak of nature at Alabama and continues that path in the NFL. He was picked sixth overall in 2011 by the Atlanta Falcons and has been a four-time Pro Bowler.

1. OL Cyrus Kouandjio (2011 - 2nd nationally)
The Hyattsville, Md., five-star Kouandjio announced his commitment to Auburn on National Signing Day, looking uncomfortable while doing so. A few days later, he signed with Alabama.
Kouandjio at Alabama
He was slowed by a knee injury as a true freshman, but started in 2012 and 2013 and was one of the top offensive tackles in college football. He was picked No. 44 overall in the second round by the Buffalo Bills in 2014 and is now with the Detroit Lions.

Welcome back to another edition of AL.com's All-Access.
Alabama has seven verbal commits so far for the 2018 class. That number could grow by more than one by the end of the week. Here are a few prospects to watch.
** Nation's top junior college tight end Dominick Wood-Anderson is announcing his decision sometime today. The three-star recruit from Arizona Western College officially visited Alabama two weekends ago. Louisville could be Alabama's top challenger after Oregon was once in the mix. Texas is also worth watching.
** Four-star Salt Lake City, Utah defensive end Cameron Latu said he will announce on Friday at noon MT (1 p.m. CT). Alabama, Nebraska, USC, Washington and Utah are Latu's top five. He said at The Opening that his mother wants him to choose Alabama and he recently visited for the Champions Cookout.
** Per Aaron Dietrich of KNOE8, West Monroe, La., three-star athlete Slade Bolden is down to Alabama and TCU. LSU didn't make the final cut. An announcement could come this week.
** Pensacola, Fla., four-star receiver Jacob Copeland, the nation's No. 52 overall recruit, will choose between Alabama, Florida and Florida State on a commitment video sometime this week. Maybe Florida is the favorite, but Copeland visited Alabama earlier this week.
Aug. 1 begins a dead period in recruiting, so there will be no college recruiting visits for this month.
