Per a couple guys, Tosh loves where we are with Henry right now and feels very good about our chances of landing him. But I'm sure a lot of assistants all over feel really good about their chances with a lot of guys that they will never get. We'll see. The consensus, though, is that we're in an amazing position very early on with the 2019 class to land a potential historic group. Squarely in the mix with almost all of the early known elite guys for that class and the leader for a bunch of them. Locksley's connections will begin to be felt in earnest.

I don't know. I hope it's true, though. Hope it helps us with White, as I have a feeling that's far from done. We're supposedly telling White that we expect to lose 2-3 RBs after this year (Bo and Harris to the NFL, and possibly a transfer). I suspect that that recruitment is far from over.

I don't see why any RBs would transfer if the two dominant ones are leaving.

Najee will be strongly in the mix.

JJ will be strongly in the mix.

Emmons will be the only threat to leave and he would probably like his chances considering he didn't leave this year.

There's a lot of info from the Opening out there that I intend on posting tomorrow.

I'm taking the day off from recruiting to celebrate America.

Happy 4th of July everybody.

Hopefully none of y'all are the ones on twitter posting tweets like "I can't believe America is 2017 years old today!". Barrett Sallee posted a bunch of those earlier lol

Some notes ya'll might be interested in. KN put out an insider on some Opening guys

- KN's sources believe 5* QB Justin Fields will come down to AU/FSU though UGA has some real confidence on their side. Just mentioning this as I know he visited ya'll recently

- Both AU & CLEM feel they are the top 2 teams for Justyn Ross and both sides seem to think the other leads. Obviously both still see Bama has a serious threat. The AU staff feels if they have the season they expect Ross will land there FWIW

- AU still hard after 4* LB JJ Peterson but there's no doubt Bama is the clear leader

- AU is still recruiting 4* CB Jalyn Armour-Davis and it's not out of the question he will visit AU again in the future

- 2019 LB Owen Pappoe is trending Clemson and could commit soon. However, Pappoe says T-WILL is his favorite coach and AU plans to make him a top priority in the 2019 class

- AU is now recruiting 4* RB Harold Joiner only at the RB spot and he plans on visiting later this month

Yea, he is. I'll have his weight for y'all soon. I have to take him to get weighed, so I know what size flea pill to give him. Unofficial weight is 500 lbs, that's going solely off of him stepping on my balls yesterday

Auburn and Alabama should stop recruiting this kid. I have a feeling he will be a cancer in the locker room.

The one I said we could have has a really good disposition. She was stillborn and our friend (the breeder) is an EMT so when she saw the dog giving birth and the puppy laying there she snatched it up and gave it mouth to mouth. After a few minutes it started breathing.

They thought she was retarded at first because she didn't do shite, but now she runs around like a champ. I played with her for hours last night at the cookout.

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Alabama may have the No. 51 overall class according to the 247Sports Composite recruiting rankings, but don't expect that to last very long.

While in Oregon at The Opening Finals, 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong talked about the imminent rise for Alabama toward the top of the national rankings.

The names to know include five-star quarterback Tanner McKee, five-star defensive end Micah Parsons, five-star defensive end KJ Henry, and many others.

ALPHA DOG

Penn State receiver commit Justin Shorter is very likely to pick up his fifth star after consistently tearing up the camp that was full of America's top defensive backs.

Ranked by 247Sports as the nation's No. 5 receiver, a coach at the camp told 247Sports agreed with that believing the future Nittany Lion was a top two receiver in the country.

Obviously Shorter has the traits at 6-foot-4, 213-pounds, with 4.5 speed and a huge catch radius, but he's also a talented football player that did damage on all levels of the field. In helping his 7-on-7 team bring home the championship, Shorter tallied 12 receptions and four touchdowns on the final play. He snatched a ball out of the defenders arms for his first TD of the day and beat five-star cornerback Anthony Cook over the top for another one of his scores.

No question James Franklin and company are signing one of America's top high school football prospects.

NEXT THREE STANDOUTS

Five-star offensive lineman Jackson Carman was the top offensive tackle at the camp on Monday controlling the edge with his wide frame, good lateral quickness and strong technique. He also racked up a couple highlight reel blocks. Carman also took reps at guard. Clemson, Ohio State and USC are among the programs battling for the nation's No. 1 player at his position.

Ohio State all-purpose back commit Jaelen Gill hauled in 14 passes and three touchdowns including one on a deep ball to help lead his team to the championship game. Ranked by 247Sports as the nation's No. 1 all-purpose back, Gill is a playmaker in a variety of ways.

Kamryn Babb caught 10 passes on the final day including three touchdowns, two in the championship game win keeping his name in the discussion as the top receiver in the country. Babb is a smooth, explosive customer with a powerful lower half. The 247Sports Crystal Ball favors the Buckeyes.
