Alabama has extended an offer to the nation's No. 1 punter and Tennessee commit Skyler DeLong, the Fort Mill (S.C.) Nation Ford product tells BamaOnLine.
The offer came after DeLong participated in the Tide's specialist camp that is taking place today.
DeLong committed to the Volunteers earlier this week, but is keeping his ears open to programs like Alabama and North Carolina State.
Alabama is looking to replace JK Scott after the 2017-18 season, and it appears to be looking to do so with the 6-foot-4, 180-pound DeLong.

Camp season is here in Tuscaloosa. Alabama will host some of the nation’s top recruits in the Class of 2018 and 2019 over the next few days. The first camp begins on Saturday where some of the top specialists in the country will hope to earn an offer from the Crimson Tide.
It’s very possible a punter gets offered a scholarship on Saturday because the Tide will need to replace JK Scott after this season.
The first high school camp begins on Sunday and goes through Tuesday. Below is the group of priority targets expected to be in Tuscaloosa over the next few days. It’s likely Alabama will get a ton of momentum on the recruiting trail this week.

JJ Peterson is one of Alabama’s top defensive targets in the Class of 2018, and he just wrapped up a two-day trip to Tuscaloosa followed by a two-day stay in Auburn.
Peterson, a 4-star outside linebacker from Colquitt County High School (Moultrie, Ga.), told SEC Country after his trip to Auburn on Saturday that Alabama still leads for his services. Auburn, Oregon, Georgia and Michigan round out his top five in that order.
“This Auburn trip was more about activities,” Peterson said. “When I went to Alabama, I worked out there and did some running drills. I got a good feel for how the players work when I was there. Alabama is more about getting to it. Auburn is more about just enjoying myself. I’m all about work.”
What makes Peterson different than a lot of other recruits is that depth charts don’t matter to him. His coach Rush Propst confirmed that. Peterson wants to actually go to a school that’s going to push him on and off the field.
“Nothing is going to be handed to me,” Peterson said. “I’m going to have to earn what I get if I go there. You have to work to be successful. I don’t want to be handed anything. I work hard everywhere I go. I bring everything I have to the table everywhere.”
Peterson spent all of Wednesday and Thursday in Tuscaloosa, he said, before heading to Auburn for a trip on Friday and Saturday. He’ll head to Georgia on June 14. He’s also trying to get to Oregon and Michigan this summer. Propst thinks it’s likely that Oregon gets replaced in Peterson’s top schools list by Florida State just because of the distance from home.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect has a 5-month old daughter, Allie, who made the trip with him to both schools. Peterson and Propst, who has really become a father to his star player, are still trying to figure out the specifics with where Allie goes when Peterson is in college. One school has a leg up in making sure Peterson knows that not only do they care about him but also his daughter.
“Auburn is definitely noticing her, too,” Peterson said. “That makes me feel some type of way.”

Jalen Cunningham grew up a big Alabama fan. He still is. His key lanyard is Alabama-themed. His license plate has an Alabama logo on the back of his Chevrolet Tahoe.
Cunningham, a 3-star defensive tackle from St. Clair County High School (Odenville, Ala.), will be in Tuscaloosa on Sunday after visiting Auburn for Big Cat Weekend. The Tigers have risen on his top schools list.
“Auburn definitely closed the gap for me,” Cunningham said. “They’re now No. 3 in my top five. Alabama is still No. 1 followed by Mississippi State.
“It’s crazy. I always thought I would hate going to Auburn, but I really don’t because of this coaching staff. It was really the name Auburn that I hated, but now that I’ve been around them more, I really like it.”
The 6-foot-6, 353-pound prospect admits that it’s going to be tough for any school to change his mind on wanting to go to Alabama. So, why hasn’t Cunningham committed to the Tide already?
One reason could be that the Crimson Tide staff wants to continue seeing him lose weight and monitor his progress. Cunningham wants to get down to 335 pounds. He’s running every day to cut that weight.
Cunningham will be in Tuscaloosa on Sunday to work out for the Alabama staff. If he is given the green light to commit this summer, he’s likely going to choose the Tide.
“There’s really not much more they could do,” Cunningham said. “They’ve showed me everything I need to see. I’ve seen it all there.”
Mississippi State and Auburn are fighting to change his mind. Both Dan Mullen and Gus Malzahn are communicating with Cunningham every other day, he said. He doesn’t talk to Nick Saban as often, but offensive line coach Brent Key is still communicating with Cunningham every day. The in-state standout said his phone recently broke, but Key has gone through Cunningham’s father as of late to talk to him.
Is there anything Mississippi State or Auburn can do to become the new leader in his recruitment?
“It’s going to be very hard,” Cunningham said with a laugh. “I don’t know what to say because it’s going to be hard for me to change my mind.”
The nation’s No. 33 defensive tackle says he wants to make a commitment before his senior season begins this fall.

Friday was day one of the Elite 11 competition and Tanner McKee showed he is among the nation's top signal callers.
McKee looked smooth and showed off his effortless release and accuracy. He made our top 10 list of the days top performers and should be well on his way to punching his ticket to The Opening Finals if he finishes off the next two workouts strong.
On the recruiting front, McKee took several unofficial visits over the winter and spring including stops at Alabama, Arizona State, BYU, Duke, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, UCLA and also previously visited the Washington Huskies as well.
McKee said he plans to take official visits in the fall and BYU, Texas and Washington are three on his short list. He will likely take all five before making a decision and is planning to go on his LDS (Mormon) mission right out of high school and will return as part of the class of 2020.

Moultrie, Ga., four-star linebacker JJ Peterson is soft-spoken, but speaks volumes with his play.
Peterson is the nation's No. 40 overall recruit and No. 2 outside linebacker. He visited Alabama on Wednesday and Thursday and was at Auburn's Big Cat Weekend on Saturday.
Peterson made the trip Saturday with several family members, including young daughter Allie, grandmother and Colquitt County coach Rush Propst.
"What stood out is that we just were all having fun," Peterson said. "It was a family thing instead of just me."
Peterson said the highlight was the cake-eating contest, but he didn't participate.
He said the highlights of his Alabama visits were hanging out with the players and working out with them.
Currently, Peterson's top five in order is Alabama, Auburn, Oregon, Georgia and Michigan.
He says he'll make his commitment late in the season.
