From the Auburn 247 site (non-premium):

quote:

With Big Cat Weekend set for Saturday, Auburn has six commitments and the No. 31 class ranking.

With eight months until National Signing Day, there still is lots of work ahead.

In March, AuburnUndercover.com made its initial class projection, which you can look at HERE. We followed that up with these picks in April.

Now, we're back for round 3 and there are plenty of changes.

This far out, there's just no way to know how a final class will look.

This is for fun, more than anything else.

Our best guess is Auburn will sign between 23-24 players. That final number won't be known until the very end of the cycle, though. That's because players on the team leave early for the NFL, get hurt or transfer.

Based on our current intel these are the players we think Auburn might have the best shot of landing -- as of today.

QB -- Joey Gatewood, Jacksonville (Fla.) Bartram Trail

Gatewood, a 4-star recruit, committed to Auburn in December of 2015 and at this time we project him to stick with the Tigers. He attended the A-Day game. Gatewood is actively recruiting for the Tigers but can't attend Big Cat Weekend because he will compete this weekend in the Eltie 11 Finals in California.

QB -- Justin Fields, Kennesaw (Ga.) Harrison

Right now, the 5-star quarterback is committed to Penn State but we think he ultimately opens up his recruitment. If he does, Auburn will be a top contender. Right now, Florida seems to be well-positioned. The Gators are in dire need of improved quarterback play and Fields sees a great opportunity there. That said, he also thinks he could play early at Auburn and is very close with offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey. That he plays for Cam Newton's 7-on-7 team probably doesn't hurt either. We'd give the Gators maybe a slight edge at the moment but think it could go either way.

Please. God. No.

RB -- Asa Martin, Decatur (Ala.) Austin

Auburn offered the versatile 4-star back in February and he is someone they like an awful lot. It's an Alabama-Auburn-Florida battle with the Tide being new to the mix. Martin will visit the Tigers this weekend. The Auburn staff hopes to make another good impression.

WR -- Justyn Ross, Phenix City (Ala.) Central

The 6-feet-4 receiver is a 4-star recruit and it likely will come down to Auburn and Alabama for his signature -- and many feel the Tide has taken the lead. The Tigers are hopeful an improved passing game and longstanding relationships will be the difference. Ross goes back and forth on when he might want to pick a college. If it's later this year, a strong offensive showing from Auburn could help the Tigers. He'll visit Auburn on Saturday.

OG -- Tank Jenkins, Montgomery (Ala.) Park Crossing

The 4-star recruit has been a regular visitor at Auburn for about two years. He could return Saturday for Big Cat Weekend.

OT -- Jerome Carvin, Cordova (Tenn.)

The standout from Tennessee will visit Auburn on Saturday. That will be his second trip there this year. Alabama and Tennessee are others to watch. The Vols are making a huge push, but a good trip this weekend would make Auburn a major contender.

DE -- Andres Fox, Mobile Christian (Ala.)

It's a three-team race between Auburn, Alabama and LSU, with Fox saying a decision could come this summer. He nearly committed to Auburn earlier this year, but things have tightened up. At last check, he said LSU was recruiting him hardest. Fox will visit Auburn this weekend.

BUCK/OLB -- Richard Jibunor, Athens Christian

Jibunor, who is very high on the Auburn board, likes the Tigers a lot and they look like the team to beat with Alabama and Tennessee next. He'll visit Auburn on Saturday and wants to have a decision in August after he checks out a few other schools.

OLB/BUCK -- Quay Walker, Cordele (Ga.) Crisp County

Auburn hopes it can land a 4-star recruit for the second straight year from Crisp County. In February, the Tigers signed buck Markaviest Bryant. Alabama leads, but Auburn has started to make its push and he is expected to visit this weekend.

CB -- Kyler McMichael, Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian School

At this time, Clemson and Georgia might be the favorites with Alabama and FSU also in the mix. But Auburn has made a strong move of late and if he visits Saturday as expected that would be two trips to Auburn in the past couple months. Auburn is trending up -- but is somewhat of a darkhorse pick.

Alabama head coach took time out of his Wednesday night to FaceTime with Joshua Moore, a four-star receiver from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy.

Moore, a Texas native who plans to transfer back to Yoakum (Texas) for his senior season, picked up an offer earlier this spring, and is expected on campus Monday, less than two weeks ahead of his June 18 commitment date.

“For one, the winning success that they have,” Moore told BamaOnLine of what sticks out about the Crimson Tide. “They’re definitely an NFL pedigree team. From the fan base to the coaching staff, they definitely keep in touch every day. If I’m not getting a DM from a fan, I’m getting a DM from one of the coaches. That’s real big with me is relationships, and I definitely have that with them.”

Alabama is recruiting Moore to potentially play both sides of the ball, as well as return kicks.

Saban also FaceTimed Moore from the NFL Draft last month.

Moore's twin brother, four-star safety Jordan Moore, is committed to Texas A&M.

At 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, Moore is rated the No. 14 receiver and the No. 75 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

Nebraska is trending on the Crystal Ball at 52 percent.

They need to start letting head coaches visit during the spring again
That just looks painfully awkward

Can anyone explain to me why we seem to have more fake insiders than anyone else?

It's fricking pathetic, but it seems to be an epidemic amongst Alabama fans.
