Asa Martin, RB: For a long time, Florida looked to be in good shape. But then Auburn started pushing and a recent visit really gave the Tigers a boost. But then, a new team entered the mix: Alabama. With the Tide showing more and more interest, that has altered things. With that in mind, it's important for Auburn to get Martin back on campus -- and probably multiple times -- this summer as he's expected to announce a decision in August at this time. He's expected to attend Big Cat Weekend on June 3.

Justyn Ross, WR: Ross has visited Auburn more than 10 times, so why is getting him back there soon so important? Two reasons. 1. His mother, an important person in this recruitment, just returned after serving overseas for a lengthy period. 2. There is lots of chatter Alabama has emerged as the favorite. He is expected to be back at Auburn on June 3 for Big Cat Weekend.

Coynis Miller, DT: With Auburn battling Alabama (and possibly others), the Tigers need to get Miller on campus every chance they can. He'll be there June 3 for Big Cat Weekend.

Richard Jibunor, OLB/Buck: Jibunor hasn't visited the Tigers since earlier this year, but is extremely high on Auburn, which might be the team to beat. But with Jibunor expected to camp at both Alabama and Georgia in early June, a return trip to Auburn is much needed to keep the Tigers in his head with other programs in hot pursuit. He'll be at Auburn on June 3.

Justin Fields, QB: Right now, everything with Fields, a 5-star Penn State commit, is being kept quiet by his camp. Most of the people we've talked to think it's highly possible he'll flip. If so, Auburn is a top contender (Also watch for Florida). With a final decision likely to be made this summer, the Tigers certainly would love to get him back on campus so he can continue to build a relationship with offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Chip Lindsey.

JJ Peterson, LB: Peterson is the No. 1 outside backer in the 247Sports Composite. Right now, Alabama leads but Auburn is No. 2. There has been some chatter he could commit this summer. Although Peterson denied it, it's still possible. If he does, that would favor the Tide. That's why it is vital Auburn gets him back in town again soon. On his first visit to the school, which was this spring, the Tigers made a huge move. Might another visit have the same result? He's likey to attend Big Cat Weekend on June 3.

So the UF Scout site out out an article claiming the Gators lead for 3* Richard Jibunor. Someone asked KN about it and he thinks that writer misunderstood Jibunor. Says he spent a ton of time with Jibunor recently and got no impression at all that the Gators lead. Right now it's an AU/BAMA/TEN battle

Also had VIP article on 3* DE Andres Fox. Fox is apparently getting close to a decision, aiming for end of summer, before senior season. He's narrowed it down to AU/BAMA/LSU. He claims they are all even. He was close to committing to AU in the past but his mom had him hold off. He speaks most often with Travis Williams. Something concerning though is he claims LSU is recruiting him "a lot harder" than either AU or Bama and recently factimed with Oregeron. With that said, KN responded in the comments to say that AU staff apparently plans on "getting on that". He plans on visiting for BCW and his mom is making the trip.

I don't like that LSU comment. Fox should be a top priority considering he's like the one instate kid that we seem to have an edge on despite all his friend and family wanting him at Bama. I have an outside hope at Fox pulling the trigger at BCW but we have to get his mom on board. Everyone keeps saying that parents won't push him to Bama but he has also said that he has get things right with his family before committing because they want Bama. That sounds ominous... Hopefully we convince momma this weekend

Every few weeks, we look at the 247Sports Crystal Ball to see who is trending toward the Auburn Tigers -- and who isn't.

With six commitments, Auburn has approximately 17-18 spots left to fill in the 2018 class.

Who will the Tigers land?

That can't be predicted with 100 percent accuracy. For starters, National Signing Day is more than eight months away. Second, we are, after all, dealing with teenagers, whose minds often change with the wind.

That said, generally speaking the 247Sports Crystal Ball seems to be a fairly good indicator of where a prospect will sign -- especially as you get closer to a recruit's decision date.

So, who is Auburn trending for in the Crystal Ball? And who do the Tigers trail for in the eyes of the pickers?

With Big Cat Weekend -- Auburn's signature recruiting event -- just one week away here's a quick look at 25 of the primary players the Tigers are involved with in this recruiting cycle:

Again, a lot of Alabama targets

My Crystal Ball pick: No pick made

Level of Confidence: N/A

Breakdown: Auburn or Alabama? Probably the one that recruits him the hardest.

ASA MARTIN, RB

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: Low

Breakdown: The Gators lead in the Crystal Ball, but now Alabama is picking up some steam. How hard will the Tide push? If Alabama goes all in, that's not good news for Auburn and Florida. The bottom line, things just got a lot more complicated. Martin recently visited Auburn and plans to return for Big Cat Weekend on June 3.

SETH WILLIAMS, WR

My Crystal Ball pick: Alabama

Level of Confidence: Medium/Low

Breakdown: The Crystal Ball is all Tide, but Auburn is very much in the hunt. The Tigers have recruited him harder than anyone. Could that pay off?

ANDRES FOX, DE

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: Medium

Breakdown: According to Fox, he nearly committed to Auburn earlier this year but his mother asked him to hold off. Alabama and LSU are very much in the mix. He will attend Big Cat Weekend on June 3. Right now, Fox says LSU is recruiting him the hardest. The Bayou Bengals definitely have a shot.

RICHARD JIBUNOR, OLB/BUCK

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: Medium

Breakdown: Jibunor is extremely close with the Auburn staff. He's also friends with Tigers offensive tackle Prince Tega Wanogho, who like himself is a Nigerian native. Auburn probably has recruited him harder than anyone. He'll attend Big Cat Weekend. Alabama and Tennessee are other programs near the top.

COYNIS MILLER, DT

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: Low

Breakdown: Auburn was Miller's first big offer, but he's a longtime Alabama fan. Other schools are involved, but we think it comes down to those two. The confidence seeems to be higher in Tuscaloosa than in Auburn. Miller will attend Big Cat Weekend on June 3 and probably will have a decision late summer. The Tide seem to be trending some.

JJ PETERSON, LB

My Crystal Ball pick: No pick made

Level of Confidence: N/A

Breakdown: Alabama-Auburn battle with the Tide holding the edge at the moment. Peterson is expected to visit Auburn soon. The Tide is the overwhelming favorite but Auburn is in better position than even a month ago.

QUAY WALKER, OLB/BUCK

My Crystal Ball pick: Alabama

Level of Confidence: Low

Breakdown: Auburn has started to become more of a factor of late. The Tide is trending at the moment. But the Tigers are very much a factor. He's former teammates with 2017 Auburn signee Markaviest Bryant. Look for Walker to visit Auburn soon. Georgia leads in the Crystal Ball, but we don't see the Bulldogs being a major contender at this time.

JALYN ARMOUR-DAVIS, CB

My Crystal Ball pick: Alabama

Level of Confidence: Medium

Breakdown: Until recently, we believed this to be a two-team race between Auburn and FSU. But now it's our opinion Alabama has surged in front. Armour-Davis planned to announce his decision Friday but delayed it (thanks to some pushing from Auburn). That's a positive for Auburn, but the Tigers still have lots of work to do.

JUSTYN ROSS, WR

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: Low

Breakdown: While Auburn continues to lead in the Crystal Ball, many believe Ross is now trending Alabama. The good news for Auburn: He'll be at Big Cat Weekend on June 3 -- and his mother probably will be with him. And... he is not expected to make a commitment for awhile.
