With a nickname like "The Hulk," plenty is expected of five-star defensive tackle Kendell Jones when he arrives in a football town like Tuscaloosa. But the Alabama commitment was the talk of last weekend among official visitors because of not only his sheer size, but having the personality to match.

Jones isn't the most outspoken recruit in the class of 2016 and most would consider him reserved, but not among his fellow Bama-bound recruits.

"I spent time with Kendell Jones, it was my first time meeting him," four-star UA verbal Quinnen Williams said. "He’s just a great dude, a funny dude, a laid back kind of guy."
"He’s hilarious," fellow four-star pledge Brendan Scales told BamaMag. "We were in a meeting and we were in a classroom. He walked in late joking around like, ‘Oh, shoot, I’m late for the first day of class!' He sat down and probably made the most noise out of anybody that I’ve heard. The chair was cracking and it was hilarious."

The fun carried over to Nick Saban's house on Sunday.

"We were actually riding golf carts at coach Saban's house and he jumped on the back of mine. The front wheels came up," Riley Cole said with a laugh. "He's ridiculous, like the class clown."
