Alabama extended an offer to three-star Florida cornerback commit Aaron Robinson out of Deerfield Beach (Fla.) on Saturday.
Aaron Robinson Highlights
Oddly enough, he is high school teammates with...Cavin Ridley.

ORLANDO -- There were a bunch of top performances Saturday in the Under Armour Game but also some players who struggled in the all-star showcase. Here is a look at those players:

Winners
quote:
LB Ben Davis, Gordo, Ala.
Better than any linebacker in the game, Davis tracks down plays to the outside, gets in the backfield on stretch plays and then comes up to deliver the boom. The five-star and top-rated inside linebacker has such great length, he’s so instinctive and then doesn’t hesitate to come up and hit hard or wrap up the ball carrier.

WR A.J. Brown, Starkville, Miss.
Brown has excellent hands and got open numerous times even though he hadn’t shown off tremendous speed during the week of practice. He weaved through multiple defenders for a 53-yard gain, too. Still, the four-star receiver ran great routes, created separation from some elite cornerbacks and then caught a touchdown pass on a slant from Henry. He was consistently good all week and stood out in the game, too.

OL Deonte Brown, Decatur (Ala.) Austin
The 6-foot-4, 320-pound Brown was another casualty of the dominant Team Highlight defensive line. The game got off to a rough start for the Alabama commit when he whiffed twice in the same drive during pass protection, and did not improve as he was worked over by Rashan Gary throughout the game. Brown has the size and strength to handle bigger defensive tackles, but lacked in quickness and technique.
He needs to lose a ton of weight to get down to the listed 320 pounds above. He's fat as hell.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Saturday’s Under Armour All-America Game featured high school players, sure, but the interest goes far beyond the surface level. Team Highlight’s 27-0 win over Team Armour mattered little on the national stage. Still, plenty of major colleges had future players participating in the event, and fans of those schools had reason to pay attention.
Rivals.com ranked the college programs by how their committed prospects performed in the game.

7. ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE
Running back commit B.J. Emmons showed nice hands and impressive agility catching the ball out of the backfield. He made defenders miss and created extra yards where there seemed to be none. Emmons finished the game with two catches for 13 yards. He also carried the ball 10 times for 16 yards. It was a rough day for offensive lineman Deonte Brown, who struggled to match power with opposing defensive linemen at times.

I don't like Simmons film. He doesn't look as fast as they say and he doesn't look as quick as you would expect him to be. I'm not a good talent evaluator though.
I really like Korey Banks, I wonder if we have a legit chance at flipping him?

Three-point stance: Takeaways from the Under Armour All-America Game by Mike Farrell
quote:
Making an impression
I was impressed by defensive tackles Rashan Gary, Ed Oliver and Benito Jones as one could easily make a case they were the best three players in the game. That's especially impressive considering how unusual it is to see an inside position player dominate in any setting.
I was impressed with the burst of running backs Miles Sanders and B.J. Emmons, who looked so much more explosive than their counterparts.
I was impressed with offensive guard Landon Dickerson, but only when he was pulling.
In the secondary, I was impressed with Kristian Fulton for being instinctual in coverage, Levonta Taylor (especially his punt return) and Eric Cuffee for stealing the ball away from Josh Hammond for a big play.
I was impressed with defensive end Antonneous Clayton for continuing to be so quick off the edge and quarterback Malik Henry for being polished and accurate.
I was impressed with wide receiver Dionte Mullins having a great week of practice and making the catch of the game despite missing the entire season. Wide receiver A.J. Brown also stood out for being faster and more elusive than he showed in practice.
I was impressed with linebacker Ben Davis for laying the wood a couple times and fellow linebacker Tre Lamar for being strong at the point of attack and squaring up well.
Defensive end Marlon Davidson impressed me by having a strong game after a bad week of practice.
I was impressed with linebacker Dontavious Jackson for his instincts and I was impressed with defensive lineman McTelvin Agim for being a physical force.

Several disappointments on Saturday
I was disappointed with quarterback Jarrett Guarantano's performance. He turned in a great week of practice but struggled badly and fumbled during the game.
The same goes for wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland. He didn't drop any passes during practices, but dropped two on Saturday.
I was disappointed with offensive tackle Willie Allen, who looked like he didn’t belong at this level.
I was disappointed with running back Kareem Walker, who fumbled again.
I was disappointed with defensive back Saivion Smith for again not being as good as I want him to be in coverage.
I was disappointed with quarterback Woody Barrett and his indecisiveness and I was disappointed with offensive tackle Jean Delance for being a turnstile more times than not.
I was disappointed with cornerback Chauncey Gardner for fumbling, blowing coverage on a touchdown and missing an easy pick-six after looking like a five-star in practice.
I was disappointed with offensive lineman Deonte Brown for being moved too easily for a big guy and I was disappointed with the punters who were horrible.

I think we have a shot at him even though Ohio State is his leader.

LAKE BEUANA VISTA, Fla. -- Fifty of the country’s top underclassman prospects worked out on the field at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports on Friday morning as part of the Under Armour Future 50 Experience. The on-field session featuring position specific drills as well as a one-on-one and seven-on-seven competition period. Here’s a rundown of which defensive players did the best when it mattered most on Friday.
quote:
1. DB Jeffrey Okudah, Grand Praire (Texas) South
The newly-minted five-star came into the day looking like he wanted to back up his ranking and he did exactly that. Okudah could be a safety or a corner at the next level and his athleticism and playmaking ability was very impressive on Friday. As the cycle moves along, Okudah could emerge as one of the country’s truly elite prospects. He currently lists Ohio State as his leader.

2. DT Marvin Wilson, Houston (Texas) Episcopal
The nation’s No. 1 player in the 2017 class was also the best defensive lineman in attendance, consistently winning reps in one-on-ones while also drawing praise from coaches in drills. Wilson won reps while working both inside and outside and every offensive lineman wanted a shot to stop him and most came up empty. Alabama, LSU and others remain in the mix for Wilson.

4. DB Jamyest Williams, Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer
As usual Williams was one of the most intense and active participants. While his aggression got the best of him on a few occasions, he showed good ball skills and a nice ability to close and make plays to break up passes. Williams is considering Clemson, Georgia, Florida State and others.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Top underclassmen from around the country converged on Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex Friday for the Under Armour Future 50 camp. The group of offensive players were led by a deep crop of wide receivers.
quote:
6. RB Najee Harris, Antioch, Calif.
Recruiting Wrap: Harris has been an Alabama commit since last spring.
Performance: Even with five-star Dylan Moses in attendance, the 6-foot-2, 222-pound Harris was the most impressive physical specimen at the running back position. A five-star himself, Harris is a little stiff when asked to run routes in space, but his playmaking ability combined with his size still made him a tough cover for linebackers. The highlight of his day was a diving, one-handed snag over the middle with a defender on his back.

9. WR Jerry Jeudy, Deerfield Beach, Fla.
Recruiting Wrap: Jeudy has a top ten that includes Florida, Miami, Florida State, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Clemson and USC.
Performance: Jeudy started the day on a rough note, dropping a pass and trying to get too cute with his route running. After settling in, though, Jeudy made some of the day’s best plays from the wide receiver position. The 6-foot-1 wideout has great speed down the field and was able to get separation from defensive backs with consistency. After that early drop he made several tough catches out and showed strong hands.
So Alabama is his leader yet they naturally left us out of his listed Top 10 even though they named 8 of them.
