We just need to let Moses play defense because he wants to. Don't we have a Rob from our own state that is pretty good.

Moses has stated several times he does not care to play RB in college he wants to play LB bc that's where he feels his future is if he makes it to next level.

Cam Akers will be a 5-star RB in next year's class when the rankings are final.

When the Army All-American Bowl practices commence on Monday, we are going to get the unique opportunity to see the best players in the nation take numerous competitive reps 1on1. In many cases, this will be more entertaining than the game itself. Below we break down just a few of the matchups we're most excited to see during practice.

DT, Derrick Brown vs. OL Matt Farniok

There wasn’t a more productive defensive lineman in the country this fall than Derrick Brown and there may not be an offensive lineman in the country that likes contact more than Farniok. Both of these guys should thrive with the elevated competition.

OT, Tommy Kraemer vs. DE Jeffery Simmons

I'm not sure there's a more complete offensive tackle in the country than Kraemer. His frame is outstanding, he can really move, he was the Gatorade player of the year as an offensive lineman out of Ohio. The Notre Dame commit will be tested in San Antonio by Simmons who is everything Kraemer is on the defensive side of the ball: a complete high-motor player.

ATH, Mecole Hardman Jr. vs. ATH Demetris Robertson

Two guys out of Georgia who can each play about three or four positions, who is going to emerge as the most valuable of the two in San Antonio? We could see Hardman face Robertson as a slot vs a safety. We could see Hardman at corner and Robertson at receiver. Wherever these two line up though, highlight film plays are always likely.

DT, Raekwon Davis vs. OG Michael Onwenu

What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? We'll find out when the 6-7, 325-pound Davis butts heads with the 6-3, 365-pound Onwenu. As Davis continues to learn to play with leverage, Onwenu will be his ultimate test.

When the Army All-American Bowl practices begin on Monday, the beginning of a long week of evaluation and competition will kick off. 247Sports will be watching every rep and here are a few things we'll be keeping an eye on.

Five-star candidates

There are numerous five-star candidates that will be in San Antonio but there are a few that already have our finger on the trigger for that big bump.

quote:

***Demetris Robertson, ATH, Georgia (uncommitted)

Robertson has had plenty of opportunity to prove himself and has been a regular standout on the camp circuits. Can he do enough to get over that final hump into the five-star tier in San Antonio?

***Jeffery Simmons, DE, Mississippi (uncommitted)

Maybe he doesn't have the athleticism testing numbers of others but Simmons has a five-star motor and has the ability to really create havoc. Against the best athletes in the nation, if Simmons can make the same kind of plays he makes on Friday nights, he'll have a great five-star case.

Something to Prove

quote:

***Devin Asiasi, TE, California (uncommitted)

Asiasi thinks of himself as a tight end. He'll be playing tight end in San Antonio and he's being recruited by major programs as a tight end. But many, including us at 247Sports, think he has more upside on the defensive side of the ball. The Army Bowl will be a shot to prove he's an elite national pass catcher.

Finding a position

Mecole Hardman, CB/WR, Georgia (uncommitted)

Hardman may be one of the most explosive prospects in the country regardless of position but what is he going to play on the next level? Does his 5-10 size preclude him from being a lockdown corner? Is he a space player you feed the football to?

Alpha Dog

The top overall player was East St. Louis (Ill.) slot receiver Jeff Thomas. The electric 5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect was simple too quick to guard. Thomas dominated the one-on-one portion of the camp with an explosive burst off the line of scrimmage.

Thomas excelled with double moves, often leaving defensive backs in his wake. The nation’s No. 27 overall prospect according to the industry generated 247Sports Composite certainly lived up to his ranking on Friday.

We lead for Thomas.

Next Five Offense

1. WR Donovan Peoples-Jones: The Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech product was extremely explosive and smooth running routes. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect was able to get behind the defense with ease throughout the entire day.

2. WR Trevon Grimes: The Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas star was yet another receiver that put together an impressive performance. Standing 6-foot-3, 180-pound, Grimes and his elite speed tested the defensive backs the entire day. His highlight play was a nifty catch along the sidelines on a corner route where was able to drag his toes in bounds for the catch.

3. WR D.J. Matthews: The Florida State commit was another ultra-quick prospect that was tough to cover working out of the slot. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound is extremely explosive and smooth in and out of his breaks.

4. RB Najee Harris: The Alabama commit has an elite blend of size and explosion at 6-feet-2 and 220 pounds. Harris is very smooth for a running back his size and when he needs to burst he can really go. Harris was the best running back during the 7-on-7 session.

5. OT Robert Hainsey: The Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive line prospect played both guard and tackle. After a couple of rough reps early, Hainsey won the rest of his one-on-ones reps with sound technique and quick feet.

Top Five Defense

1. CB Darnay Holmes: The Calabasas (Calif.) corner is undersized at 5-foot-10, but the ultra-explosive athlete stayed attached to receivers all day long. The receivers threw an array of double moves at Holmes, but he never bit, running the route step for step.

2. DE Robert Beal: The Notre Dame pledge was flashed the quickest first step in the entire camp. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect was not all speed off the edge, he mixed in some power with a bull rush against offensive tackle Tony Gray.

3. DT Marvin Wilson: The Bellaire (Texas) Episcopal product was a nightmare for offensive linemen to handle. At 6-foot-4, 315-pounds, he showed surprising quickness during one-on-one reps. There appear to be very few holes in Wilson’s game.

4. DT Tyler Shelvin: The LSU commit was nipping at the heels of Wilson for the top interior defensive lineman on Friday as both have very similar styles of play. The 6-foot-2, 330-pound prospect also gave offensive linemen fits with a surprisingly quick first step.

5. S Isaiah Pryor: The Ohio State commit is an extremely athletic prospect on the back end of the defense who was able to covered a lot of ground at the safety position. Pryor flashed good instincts, diagnosing pass routes quickly.

Running Backs

Five-star athlete Dylan Moses, the nation’s No. 1 overall player, started the day with the running backs. Moses (6-1, 215) showed great explosion and footwork going through the running back drills.

Four-star running back Anthony McFarland Jr., who hails from DeMatha Catholic in Hyattsville, Marlyland, was the most polished back going through the running back drills and exhibited a nice burst. McFarland showed a competitive streak by always looking to get extra reps throughout the day.

Receivers/Tight Ends

Fort Worth (Texas) South Hills wide receiver Tylan Wallace looked silky smooth during 1on1’s. He lined up in the slot and outside. His body frame is more suited for the slot on the next level. He did a good job of catching everything out in front of him.

Deerfield Beach (Fla.) receiver Jerry Jeudy displayed strong hands and solid route running. Jeudy caught nearly pass thrown his way during the 1on1 portion of the camp. He has excellent speed and abused a few defensive backs with double moves.

We probably lead for Jeudy too.

Offensive Line

Despite playing with a brace on his right wrist, Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair four-star Austin Deculus delivered a powerful punch and was able to knock speedy pass rushers off of their path. He showcased a great kick step and solid fundamentals all around.

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy center Cesar Ruiz was the smallest offensive lineman on hand on Friday, but the four-star prospect looked natural snapping the ball and handling bigger defensive tackles. He was able to sit back with a wide base and stay in front of pass rushers using his feet.

Brooklyn (N.Y.) Polly Prep 247Sports Composite five-star tackle Isaiah Wilson is a massive prospect who shaping into a dominant right tackle. The 6-foot-7, 320-pounder still looked raw at times on Friday listened to coaches and by the end of practice he was getting his feet in position to deal with oncoming rushers before engulfing them with his massive frame.

Defense Line

Sebastian (Fla.) Sebastian River defensive end Jarez Parks was another talented edge rusher. The 6-foot-4, 240-pound prospect used his speed off the edge to give the offensive tackles fits. He only took limited reps, but the few he took were impressive.

Defensive back

Five-star cornerback DeAngelo Gibbs lived up to the hype today. If not for the stellar defensive linemen, he would have made the top five. His blend of physicality, speed and size is second to none. Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Notre Dame, LSU, or others are going to get a good one.

Ohio State cornerback commit Marcus Williamson had a solid day. The top Midwest talent showed impressive speed and advanced coverage skills.

Top50 cornerback Jamyest Williams isn't physically gifted, but it doesn't negativley impact his play. Williams is physcal at the line of scrimmage and has terrific athleticism. He's a true playmaker in the secondary and takes on all comers.

For what Top100 cornerback Chevin Calloway lacks in height, he makes up for in technique and ball skills.

Five-star cornerback Shaun Wade showed big-time skills. He was physical at the line of scrimmage, could run with anyone, and displayed plus footwork.

Next Five Offense

1. D'Vaughn Pennamon: The Ole Miss running back commit had himself a really nice day, going off for a couple touchdown runs and having some nice runs navigating through traffic as well.

What's been most impressive for Pennamon is his ability to catch the ball, which he showed today and has done all week.
