My understanding is that Kirby wanted to keep Pruit but the administration there at UGA wanted him gone. I'm by no means an insider but a guy I work with his son is committed to UGA as a DT and they're not happy Pruit is gone from UGA. In fact they are planning a visit to BAMA now bc he's gone.
Sounds like Texas.
People who cover the University of Arizona have repeatedly said the reason Rich Rod turned down South Carolina were restrictions they were placing on his staff.

So some on the Georgia board think that Napier/Christobal are going with Kirby to Georgia. How many coaches will we lose?
And has anyone heard if Cochran is going with Kirby or not?

Wimp Sanderson said he did not think Cochran would follow Kirby.

I know it's more than a year away, but how worried should we be about Moses going to Alabama?

James Smith, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune 8 hours ago
@Lone Wolf There are reasons to be legitimately concerned here. Alabama isn't the only school to intrigue Moses, either. I think LSu has the best shot, but the Miles situation may have hurt their chances a little bit. Moses and his family are very close with the Miles gang.

Of the LB targets left, who do you like LSU's chances of signing the most?
James Smith, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune 8 hours ago
@TigerPat This is a tough one. It is a huge need and they are doing everything they can, but a lot of doors seem to be closing in their face. The biggest target is Kendell Beckwith to be honest. And they just may be able to keep him around.
This Jaleel Laguins situation is interesting. It is a name we have heard very little from, and reminds me of the Toby Weathersby situation a bit from last year. BDP and Grimes quietly stayed on Weathersby, despite his Texas commitment, and it worked out very well for LSU. This is one to monitor.
Lyndell Wilson and Ben Davis are long shots. Very unlikely at this point. Jeffrey McCulloch and Dontavious Jackson are still being recruited, but I view them as longshots, too. Rahshaun Smith from IMG has faded a bit as well. Devin White could play linebacker, but has really focused on running back of late. Joejuan Williams, the official visitor from Tennessee is currently a DB, but may grow into a linebacker. I have multiple sources telling me he is really feeling LSU right now.

Is there a chance of some verbal commitments before New Year's and would that stabilize the process moving forward.
James Smith, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune 8 hours ago
@ILTIGERFAN47 I could see Devin White pulling the trigger before then. In fact, I expect him to make a decision before the turn of the year. He is the most likely to pull the trigger in the near future.

Who do you think the Early entries for LSU are going to be?
@kwtiger Devin White, Saivion Smith, Dee Anderson, Stephen Sullivan. If you noticed, two of those guys aren't currently committed.

You have been very consistent over the last 60 days with anticipating ultimate commits from: Kristian Fulton, Devin White, Drake Davis, Rashaun Smith, Rashard Lawrence, Willie Allen: are you still confident in those which would make for 25 commits and a #1/2 class - correct?
James Smith, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune 7 hours ago
@ILTIGERFAN47 I would retract R Smith from that list, though. I think he signs with Clemson right now.

@SOSG They continue to battle Alabama for Rashard Lawrence, and they may have the momentum on their side once again. I remain 50/50 on the situation, but I would likely say LSU right now if my hand was forced. The rest will have to be read in a future release of my latest predictions.

The 4-star wide receiver from Crawfordville (Fla.) Wakulla will visit each finalist before making his decision.
“I’m going to Alabama this weekend, and then Florida State and Georgia in January. That’s it,” Gavin told SEC Country.
Gavin will be in some pain on his trip to Tuscaloosa. He injured his shoulder in the closing seconds of Friday’s Class 5A state championship and left the game, but not before making his mark. The 6-foot-3, 211-pounder caught five passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a 72-yard kick return and played the entire game at safety.
“He’s a freak,” Wakulla coach Barry Klees said. “There’s no ifs, ands or buts about it. He’s our only two-way starter. He’s pretty special.”
Gavin is tight-lipped about his recruitment, but he’s not looking to redshirt at the school he lands.
“I can’t wait to get to the next level,” Gavin said. “I feel like I’m a big impact player and I want to be that from day one. I’m going to give everything I’ve got.
