I do want to piggyback some of your posts by posting what was in a couple of those articles.

* It's great to see the top prospects all together on one field. I've talked to Lyndell Wilson before and thought, this guy is a man. But put him next to Gordo linebacker Ben Davis and you realize how big Ben is, at 6-3, 230. Both will have opportunities to make plays Saturday behind linemen like Quinnen Williams (Alabama commit, Wenonah), Darius Whitfield (South Carolina commit, St. Paul's), Kurtis Beamen (Huffman) and Marlon Davison (Greenville, Auburn commit).

* The talk from Mississippi is that Macon defensive end Jeffery Simmons is unblockable. He was a sack machine this year and mentioned Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee as schools most involved. Look for an update on Simmons this week. It looks like he'll battle Tuscaloosa County's Adam Raschilla (WKU commit) or Auburn's Tyler Pritchett (North Carolina commit) mostly. Alabama commit Deonte Brown was lined up as a left guard in the morning.

BOL is reporting Saban has seemingly narrowed his DC choices down to Pruitt and Tucker.

They also say Pruitt and Saban have had initial discussions regarding him taking the position.

BOL is also saying Pruitt may be a DC candidate for Michigan, USCw, Ohio State and Auburn as well.

That dude is about to get paid.

Come home, Pruitt. (I don't care if he is a scumbag as a person. Recruits seem to like him and that is all that matters)

Something just got posted on Mack Wilson from Hank.

On Florida:

quote:

“Just when I took my visit this summer it was a great visit,” Wilson said. “I got the chance to sit down with some of the coaches and I feel like that’s somewhere I can see me bettering myself the next three to four years. I looked to see what majors they had and they had what I want to major in – photography or sport management – you know it felt like home when I did take my visit.”

So one visit over the Summer is his only visit there?

On Alabama:

quote:

“It’s still one of those schools I’ve been dreaming about,” Wilson said. “I feel like I’m still gonna go up there and I’m still gonna give them the best of me. I’m not gonna lay off them since Kirby left. It’s still one of those schools I really like. I’m just gonna keep building that relationship with them and set up an official visit.”

On Georgia:

quote:

“It really helps them out because me and Coach Smart have a really good relationship together,” Wilson said. “We’ve been at it since the ninth grade and he’s like a father figure to me. It’ll help Georgia out a lot, so that’s why I’m gonna give them the chance to recruit me and take my visit. I kinda talked to Coach Richt when he was there. I talked to Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt a few times also.”

Notre Dame LB Jaylon Smith wins Butkus Award. Have to wonder if Alabama's defense might get shut out of defensive player awards
