I just have a hard time seeing Wayne Davis's son ending up anywhere else but Alabama, leaders be damned.

I don't have a good feeling about Davis. I know that he is a legacy, but I believe he will want to be different. I really hope that I'm wrong.

Who we hire at DC will be the deciding factor IMO. If we get Pruitt, he likely stays home.

He and Mack are friends and want to play together, I would be more worried if they both had the same school listed number 1. The fact that one has UF and the other UGA number 1 leaves me hopefully they are trolling.

I hope that we get Pruitt, the sooner the better.

What the hell is wrong with all these 5-star in state defensive guys? We have the best D in the country year in and year out and put more guys in the NFL than anyone and we lose most of our front 7 this year and these wise guys want to fart around with second rate programs like Uga and UF? SMH

If UGA were planning to keep Pruitt, you'd think they'd have announced it by now. If not UGA, then the only other competition is AU and Michigan

yes.

Bama has no competition for JP if Saban wants JP. That sounds incredibly homeristic, but it's true.

LINK doesn't sound like he's staying at UGA from what their players are saying.
An auburn poster said Pruitt is interviewing at Michigan this week, but I can't find any info on that yet.

I am fully committed to the university of Alabama. I'm not opening my recruiting up to Mizzou or any other school. Thank you and #Rolltide

At practice for the Alabama-Mississippi all-star game in Hattiesburg, Miss., Davidson said he plans on signing on Dec. 16 at his high school.
But he's in Mississippi all week leading up to Saturday's noon game at M.M. Roberts Stadium on the campus of Southern Miss. He doesn't have any other visits planned, but is considering Florida State because of his relationship with coach Odell Haggins.
He also said he's still considering Alabama, but "Bama's got all that stuff going on, with the playoffs."

The moves didn't affect his commitment to Auburn, which he still says is "75 percent" and "nothing has changed."

Meridian, Miss., defensive tackle Raekwon Davis has been committed to Alabama for a year and a half, but a lot can happen between now and National Signing Day. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound Davis pledged to the Crimson Tide prior to his junior season, when he wasn't nearly as known as he is now. Davis is a four-star recruit in the 247Sports composite rankings and the nation's No. 85 overall recruit. He has been to several Alabama games over the past two years.
"I'm still committed to them, but I'm still looking around to see what's comfortable and where I want to be at," Davis said Monday at Hattiesburg High School at practice for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game. "I'm still looking at different colleges. I'm still open."
Davis said that Alabama coaches are still in contact with him as being a part of a talented incoming defensive line. He's lining up at tackle for Mississippi before Saturday's Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game at M.M. Roberts on the campus of Southern Miss.
...
Davis said he couldn't really say what other schools he is looking at, but has scheduled an official visit to Mississippi State for the weekend of Jan. 15. He said he will take his Alabama official visit in January, but has not scheduled it yet.
He'll take the recruitment all the way to National Signing Day, he said.

Crimson_Cover ?@Crimson_Cover Source tells us Scott Cochran isn't the UA staffer most likely to follow Smart to Georgia. Better chance that LB coach Tosh Lupoi follows.
I posted this in the coaching thread too. I'm not happy about Tosh.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Florida safety commit Jeawon Taylor says his biggest priority is getting one of his best friends to join him in Gainesville.
His good friend happens to be the nation’s No. 1 outside linebacker, Lyndell Wilson. Taylor and Wilson are currently participating in practices for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game, so their time together has been used for some recruiting talk.
“I have to get him with me,” Taylor told SEC Country. “We would be great together. You’d fit perfectly. (Antonio) Morrison — he’s leaving, so we should be OK.”
Taylor wouldn’t say one way or the other if Florida does have the best chance to land Wilson. Currently, Florida is Wilson’s leader, but he’s also said that Alabama has been his dream school since he was little and that the Crimson Tide have the best program in college football.
