Kareem Walker, RB, Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic, uncommitted

Kareem Walker announced Tuesday night he decommitted from Ohio State, and he said the change in his relationship with the staff was a key in his decision, which came 10 months after his commitment. Walker was visited by Arizona State on Saturday, and he plans on making an official visit to Tempe, Ariz., for the Nov. 21 game against Arizona.
Walker already made an official visit to Michigan, and his coach, John McKenna, told Scout official visits to Ole Miss and Alabama were on his agenda. Walker was also slated to make an official visit to Ohio State, but that does not appear to be likely now so a school like Auburn could work its way back into the mix.

Trevon Diggs, WR, Gaithersburg (Md.) The Avalon School

Although Trevon Diggs said he wanted to make official visits so he could see and experience other schools, there is a lot of chatter a commitment to Maryland could take place soon. Diggs, who was considered a strong Maryland lean before he postponed his July 4 announcement, told Scout recently he wanted to visit West Virginia, LSU, Alabama and perhaps UCLA, but there has been a push by the Terps and many of their commits to get Diggs on board under interim coach Mike Locksley.
Diggs is slated to make an official visit to LSU on Nov. 14, but the status of that would be in the air if he committed to the Terps beforehand.

I've made up my mind, I will only be taking one official visit this year and that will be to UF.

I CAN’T SUPPORT IT BY REPORTABLE FACTS, AND OF COURSE THERE IS NO PRESSURE FROM THE ADMINISTRATION; BUT FROM FOLKS IN THE PROFESSION, I KEEP HEARING “NICK ISN’T HAPPY,” “NICK SEEMS MISERABLE,” “NICK IS VERY FRUSTRATED,” AND I CAN FORESEE THE VERY REAL POSSIBILITY THAT NICK PULLS THE RIP CORD AND EJECTS FROM TUSCALOOSA AFTER THIS SEASON. WHERE THAT PARACHUTE WILL LAND, WELL, THAT HAS TO PLAY OUT, BUT I DON’T SUSPECT T-TOWN WILL BE NICK’S FINAL COACHING STOP.

MARRERO, La. — Trey Ragas is averaging a whopping 200 yards per game and is on the verge of becoming the all-time leading rusher at Shaw (La.).

In doing so, Ragas has garnered interest from the top SEC schools, including Alabama.

Alabama running backs coach Burton Burns made the trip to New Orleans to speak to Shaw coach Scott Bairnsfather about Ragas, who’s rated the No. 50 player in Louisiana and second among running backs.

As he awaits an offer, Ragas made no secret he’s very intrigued by the prospect of playing for ‘Bama and being a part of the school’s storied tradition.

“Everybody knows Alabama is the top team,” Ragas said. “If they lose three games or only win one game, they’re still going to be a good team no matter what, and they got a great program.”

Alabama is not the only SEC team making a push for Ragas.

Arkansas, which is also seriously interested in Ragas but hasn’t offered, visited Shaw earlier this month and remains in touch with him more and more frequently. The Arkansas coaching staff tried to get Ragas to come to Fayetteville, Ark. for this weekend’s game game against Auburn, but Ragas couldn’t make it due to his high school game also being played Saturday.

Ragas wants to go see Arkansas, likely after the season, and could also envision himself as a part of the Razorbacks offense.

“They’re a dominating running team,” Ragas said. “They run the ball a lot and they recruit a lot of big, good, healthy offensive linemen.”

Ragas holds offers from eight schools, including Colorado State and Utah. The rest of his visits will come after the high school football season.

Both Tennessee and South Carolina showed interest in Ragas last summer, but Gamecocks receivers coach Steve Spurrier Jr. hasn’t spoke to him since before the football season.

Garnering interest from both Alabama and Arkansas has meant a lot for Ragas, who expects his recruitment to continue to heat up as he makes the push to become Shaw’s all-time leading rusher.

“Based on my next three games and how many yards I get, it could change everything,” Ragas said. “It’s because of the competition I play against. A lot of SEC schools look at players in the Catholic League.”

May see some news in next 24-36 hrs. Not good. That's all I can say.

Speculation is CJP will be gone perhaps as early as today. Don't know what went down but must have been something pretty big

Of course CJP is Jeremy Pruitt, if he leaves that's gonna hurt there class especially on the defensive side of the ball. Guess we will find out something soon if it's true.

We NEED a strong UGa. The teams that stand to gain the most by their dysfunction on the recruiting trail and/or Pruitt being fired are UT, the Barn, and UF. Two of those we play every year. It might push Michail Carter our way. Maybe we could get Hardman over UT. Eason would go to UF. Ryan Davis to AU. Derrick Brown (who I actually think is overrated) to UT. Brian Burns to us or UF. Would be interesting to see how it panned out. But we NEED them to continue to sign top 3-5 classes. They make it tougher for our rivals, and you know they will squander the talent as long as Richt is there.
