Horry would be badass. I got to meet him at a Super Bowl event where he was oddly the celebrity guest at. He and Avery played together in San Antonio right? Mo would be a big name who I think would excel in recruiting too. Especially in MS where it seems like we're always after 1-2 guys

He's been asked about this before. He's only interested in coaching at the NBA level.

Don't underestimate the persuasion of Avery, but yeah it's not going to happen. I think he's signing autographs at the Rockets game this weekend while we're reportedly going to be interviewing anyways.

I got to thinking about the Key situation and I feel a little better knowing that he possibly met with the staff this week. When I heard that he hadn't talked to the staff for the last 2 weeks, I began to worry that he just ditched Bama and wouldn't ever step foot back on campus. Now I know he likely has no problem with Bama or the coaches. I feel like it could possibly be a good sign he's returning, but who knows at this point. It's Alabama basketball, so I expect the worst and hope for the best.

The official NBA draft combine invite list is out. 67 players were invited. Braxton Key was not.

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but maybe Key was informed that he wouldn't be invited earlier this week and then he met with Avery to tell him he would be back at Bama. Hopefully we hear something really soon.

Unless Simon went to Avery and asked for a release, relieved of duties implies some sort of impropriety on his part. You can't point fingers if you went and got yourself fired. The longer it goes with silence, the more I think it's something personal but then there are Simons jabs. Do you think he broke a rule and they are trying to sweep it under the rug quietly?

Cecil Hurt reported that it was due to "personal issues" and that he was told his contract wouldn't be renewed. Here's the link to that LINK
Also seen a lot of people say it was a chemistry issue between Simon and the rest of the staff. No one seems to think it was rules related. Who knows tho.
Maybe the little baseball videos he keeps posting aren't jabs or maybe they are. Someone joked about the first post of his saying it may be a jab, then I sort of shrugged it off, then I see that second one and it made me think. He never posts anything and then out of nowhere posts that and retweets something about not being able to trust people.
