He must've played good during AAU or something..,just kind of came out of nowhere. Not to mention he rated him kind of high.

Maybe we can land Myreon Jones now. The 2017 class was EPIC, and the best way to guarantee it's legendary is for the next class behind it, 2018, to be good too. Surround that 2017 class with even more depth.

Kind of like what Saban's 2009 class did for 2008

From HoopSeen Elite Preview in March
quote:

?
Myreon Jones: Although a number of players had either breakthrough performances or showed new flashes of potential, none was more notable than this Alabama native. Jones, who was a consistent perimeter shooter, was able to break down players in the half-court. While he'll likely play at the two in college, at this venue, he showed good court vision and poise, while surveying the court over some opposing point guards. As a pure scorer, Jones was consistently hot at all three levels throughout the day. It will be very interesting to see his progression in the coming years. This AAU season, Myreon will play with Birmingham Elite. On the recruiting front, he has generated interest from UAB and Middle Tennessee, but many more will show interest and ultimately offer in time.

The Challenge didn't retain their EYBL spot. That means the state of Alabama doesn't have a single AAU team in EYBL.

Watford, Jemison, Rayshaun Hammonds and Herb Jones were on the team last year.

Jones AAU team is Birmingham Storm Elite. You can follow their U17 Twitter below. I don't think they have any highly rated players outside of Jones.

One kid I wish we would've took was LA Monte turner the pg for Tennessee. Just watched him put up like 50 at the oakwood alumni game.

In the last couple of years its gotten way less elite. Don't think that's a bad thing though.

I like LaMonte Turner as well. He was in Grant's final recruiting cycle.

They saw and evaluated him too I am sure. Avery and Pettway have attended his games.

Auburn got a commit from juco forward Malik Dundar. They also have a Quinnipiac transfer point guard visiting. AL.com
