The NCAA definitely needs to take a look into that going forward. Next thing you know you'll have AAU coaches "adopting" kids just to try to get a coaching position in college.

Alabama plays Memphis and Navy plays Pitt in the 2017 Veterans Classic on November 10th, all schools confirm. I'm guessing this is our season opener. Hopefully Memphis gets some grad transfers or something bc their team is a mess right now. That's not gonna help our RPI beating them

I don't mind opening with a weak opponent. As long as we add some other good teams Memphis can be bad.

Yeah I don't mind that either, but the problem is the rumor of all those weak teams were trying to play like Oregon St, then Texas is confirmed. UMass/BYU in the thanksgiving tourney (hopefully it would be BYU). My only hope is if we schedule these, please schedule Arizona too

I'd love to hear our name associated with any of these top grad transfers. My guess is we'll end up with a transfer with Arthur Edwards type numbers that provides some bench help.

I haven't heard legit info from anyone about us pursuing any specific players. I think Avery did mention he was looking at transfers in an interview, but I'm saying we haven't heard specific names. Last year we had heard a few names by now it seems like.

Yup. Playing teams that bad isn't good for the schedule. Luckily, the SEC should be vastly improved from top to bottom. South Carolina, Arkansas and UK are the only teams I could see being worse. As I currently see it:

1. UF
2. Bama
3. UK
4. Vandy
5. Mizzou
6. A&M
7. South Carolina
8. Arkansas
9. Ole Miss
10. Auburn
11. Tennessee
12. Miss State
13. UGA
14. LSU

I could see any of the teams 1-10 making the tournament. Take in mind that teams 11-13 shouldn't be a cake walk either. The SEC is going to be brutal next year...

We're gonna be playing against ghosts when we play Memphis

A lot of Florida's success could depend on whether or not Robinson returns, but regardless I don't see UK as #1 over them. They are lacking the star power they've previously had. While they have very good players coming in, they aren't the usual studs they keep getting. Diallo (No. 9) is the only top 10 player they have and they lost their best 4 players to the draft (Adebayo COULD return, but I don't see it) and they lost their veteran presences with both Hawkins and Willis graduating. I could see them missing the tournament if things go south. This will probably be the worst team since the 2012-13 season (NIT team) if they don't add any more significant talent.

No clue. Was just announced minutes ago. All I know is he averaged 12.8 points a game and is a graduate transfer so he would be eligible immediately
