Not that I care, because I know the truth, but pretty sure Sexton will take over as the top PG in the final rankings. Even the coach benched Duval for Sexton to close out because he knew who to trust.

Collin Sexton finished with 7 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. I would much rather see a stat line like this that shows he can do a little of everything than see one where he only scored

I really didn't understand their criticism of his game. One its an all star game and he passes more than anyone. I think he gets more excited about making a flashy pass over anything else.

I like Sexton's overall game. He is a program changer for Bama. I do think we need to add another piece though

Only criticism of his game was he never really waits to set the offense and will take early shots.

Guy is electric outside of that.

I understand that but they were wrong. Nobody in the history of the sport sets up the offense every single time down the court. Not to mention a couple of those times he wasn't the primary ball handler.

I hope Avery goes after these guys hard. Forget grad transfers

I watched the game this morning and thought Sexton played well. He can play better though. His legs look a little tired in his jump shot, and you could see he was frustrated with himself at points in the game.

I think most of the frustration comes from playing with a bunch of ball hogs like Porter Jr. I don't blame him. And the missed shots could be from rushing it too much knowing he's not gonna get the ball much playing with those guys

Yeah the real info comes from the practice sessions. I'm trying to keep an eye out for some write ups. I know the Dunc'd On guys were there and said they would have some stuff out about it soon.

Also a guy on TI said he heard a Memphis radio station say it's down to Alabama and Ole Miss for the Lawson's. Idk how credible the radio guy is or if he said it, and I don't know if he was stating a fact or opinion, but this is what the TI guy said was on the radio.

Also, another rumor is the Lawson's cousin said they want to play for Avery Johnson.

This is all just talk, nothing confirmed, so I wouldn't get my hopes up

I think this three-four week stretch is pretty brutal for the players. Practices and games in front of NBA scouts combined with cross country travel can take a toll. That's why I said I wouldn't mind Sexton not playing much in the game. I'm glad he's playing with and against great competition though.

That's just how it is for the top young athletes now particularly in basketball.

and he isn't JUST playing against them, he's playing pretty good against them and leading his team anytime he's on the court. The offense seems to run a lot smoother when he's out there

Trendon Watfords dad talks about his recruitment. VIP post LINK

Can someone give us a summary?

Edit: Found the info. Once again it didn't say much at all. His dad basically just said he likes Avery and the idea of playing for a coach who's won an NBA title. A lot of schools are recruiting him and they'll monitor Alabama and Auburn's season this year to see how things turn out. One important thing was he said they're very close with Herb Jones. Said Herb spends time at his house sometimes. Will likely make a decision late in the process.

We've got 4 really credible guys on the radio here that would be in the know on this most likely. 3 of them have been about as close as you can get to the team in the past and the other is Gary Parrish, who is about as hooked in when it comes to CBB in the country.
