Maybe Jamal Johnson was sick or something came up that day for him? Pettway and Johnson were out recruiting all kinds of kids so I bet something came up from Jamal's end more so than our coaches.

If we can land Petty, everything else should fall in place

So, for those in the college basketball loop, how much of an impact does us hiring John Pelphrey have on recruiting? Any great increase in chances we now land any bigger prospects due to him?

Not huge, Pettway is the primary recruiter on staff. Pelphrey's position involves much more limited recruiting, more of an on court assistant. NCAA recruiting rules for basketball pretty much limit it to one assistant and the HC for recruiting.

But people know how good of an assistant Pelphrey was under Donovan so just the names of our coaches being big names will hopefully start attracting more recruits.

We have to land him now. If not we will be mediocre, at best, for the foreseeable future.

Lol we are already a mediocre team and we are adding 4 new players (AJ Jr, Key, King, Davis) so far. That means we will be better than mediocre next year if those players are as good as we think. Plus we get Ingram back. I think there's 4 categories: Bad, mediocre, good, and great. With these additions, we should at least be "good" the next few years.

That would be a good get. He can sure shoot it looking at his stats.

It could make for some confusing and repetitive commentary if we landed both him and Woodson...

"Johnson signals the playcall to Johnson. Avery passes it to Avery...back to Avery...over to Johnson...back to Johnson...shot clock violation! Oh Johnson can't be happy about that!"

Lol I understand. Well good thing is we had way less shot clock violations under Avery than we did under Grant it seems like

VIP Aticle on Christian Vital . The title says he's focused on 2 schools and the upcoming visits are key. I'm guessing we're missing out on him too? Can someone read this and see what it says? Thanks
