Not saying it never happens, but I most often see Meyer starting trends, rather than following.
Having said that, Slater is the only one of the 4 picks that has me a little concerned. The Kansas guys I've noticed to be homers and the other guy is an unknown (at least to me).

Ok I see Herb will decide on October 6th and Reese said he should know where he's going after he visits Bama this weekend. So it's possible we could have 2 commits in the 11 days

Auburn just got a 4 star 2019 commit. When you can wrap up your class early like they have in 2017, you get a head start on the next classes.

I've never viewed Auburn as our biggest rival for basketball, mainly because Tennessee is way more comparable program. That being said, Pearl is about to have them in a plug and reload stage and Avery needs to get things going right now if he wants to compete.

Bruce is obviously great at getting guys to commit early. Thus far, Avery hasn't shown that ability. If you lock up guys before they really blow up (ie Sexton), your odds of signing them increase exponentially.

That seems to be the key with him. But our first few seasons were a lot of grad transfers and low 4* athletic forwards without any shooting ability or undersized 3* guards that play poor defense but shoot lights out.

Trevon Duval (#1 PG) is a late addition to Late Night in the Phog. Could impact Sexton a little if they are still pursuing Duval? Maybe.

I hope so bad that he commits and Sexton comes here. Isn't Sexton supposed to commit in October? If we really had such a good connection and a huge lead with him like everyone said, then I don't think we have a lot to worry about. I don't think Kansas could make up that much ground that quickly
