John Petty plays SF. Kentucky has another SF they are recruiting, a 5* named Jarred Valentine. His Crystal Ball reads 82% to Kentucky. He has 9 Crystal Balls to Kentucky, and 1 each to Texas and Kansas.
His one to Kansas came in December of 2014, and his one to Texas came in May of 2015. The final 9 have been to Kentucky. I'd say he's pretty much a Kentucky lock.
I know this is what smaller football teams do to us in recruiting, but do you guys think another 5* SF who's pretty much a Kentucky lock could help push Petty to Bama??
Before you say "nah, they will just put 1 at SF and 1 at SG", i'll go ahead and let you know they have a 5* SG named Hamidou Diallo, and his Crystal Ball is 90% in favor of Kentucky.

This is just my opinion but yeah I think it could. Being that Petty is from Alabama that helps. If I was Petty I would rather stay home and have the spotlight on me at a rebuilding school like Alabama with an NBA coach and help turn the program around. I wouldn't want to go to UK if they signed those other 2 and have to wonder if they'll take my playing time. We already have heard that they backed off Petty a little so it wouldn't surprise me too much if he ends up at Bama now.
