Austin Simmons has been named Missouri’s starting quarterback heading into the 2026 season, earning the job after competing through spring camp.

The Ole Miss transfer beat out transfer Nick Evers and rising sophomore Matt Zollers for the job.

Now fully healthy, Simmons brings SEC experience, arm talent, and mobility to the Tigers’ offense. He’ll look to take control of the unit and reestablish himself as a reliable starter in a new system this fall.
