ESPN's Charlie Creme updated his 2026 NCAA Tournament Women’s Bracketology on Friday.
LSU (25-4, 11-4 SEC) is projected to get the No. 2 seed in Region 1 (Fort Worth) and would face No. 15 Eastern Kentucky in the first round. The Tigers' first-round game would be played in Baton Rouge at the PMAC.
The winner between LSU and E. Kentucky would go on to play the winner of No. 7 NC State vs. No. 10 Rhode Island.
A total of 12 teams from the SEC would make the NCAA Tournament bracket, according to Creme's projections.
LSU will wrap up the regular season on Sunday at Mississippi State at 3 p.m. on the SEC Network.
The Tigers will have a double-bye in the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament, which begins on March 4 in Greenville, S.C.
