LSU guard Flau'jae Johnson is out for the regular season finale vs. Ole Miss on Sunday and will sit out of the SEC Tournament as she recovers from an injury.

Johnson, who has only missed one game in three years, is dealing with "shin inflammation," coach Kim Mulkey said. Per The Daily Advertiser:

Johnson was seen on the court wearing a walking boot on her right leg while her teammates warmed up before the Ole Miss game Sunday. LSU (27-3, 12-3 SEC) will be the No. 3 seed in next week's SEC Tournament and will have a double bye before playing its first game next Friday night.

"We're going to rest her it through the SEC Tournament because it doesn't affect us," Mulkey said. "She's dealt with shin inflammation since the Texas game. The doctor and trainer wouldn't shut her down because it's a pain tolerance thing. pain tolerance.

we have lost the last 2 games without her....but that just shows how important she is to the team. would much rather her be healed and ready for the tourney than hurt herself any further. if we slip to a 3-seed who cares. we can be a 16-seed. as long as we make the tourney with her healthy we have a chance
