Lady Tigers Defeat Washington State, 112-35, In The Paradise Jam Championship

Per LSU: ST. THOMAS – The fifth-ranked LSU women’s basketball team defeated Washington State, 112-35, in the Paradise Jam championship on Saturday night inside the University of Virgin Islands Elridge Blake Sports and Fitness Center.
The Tigers are back in action on Thursday, Dec. 4 to face Duke. The game will tip off at 8:00 p.m. CT back inside the Cameron Indoor Stadium.
In the first half, LSU shot 20-of-37 (54.1%) from the floor and 4-of-7 (57.1%) from distance. Washington State went 7-of-22 (31.8%) and just 3-of-12 (25%) from the arc. LSU closed the half carrying a 37-point advantage, 54-17.
Keeping the first half tempo, LSU made 20-of-34 (58.8%) field goals, five from deep. Washington State recorded 6-of-26 shots for 23.1 percent with 11 rebounds.
Flau’Jae Johnson led the Tigers in scoring, earning 16 points. Jada Richard earned 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting and four treys. Amiya Joyner, Zakiyah Johnson, Mikaylah Williams and MiLaysia Fulwiley scored 12 points.
Charlotte Abraham was the leading scorer for the Cougars, finishing with 10 points on 4-of-11 shooting.
