QB Hatch leaving LSU, may return to Harvard

Glenn Guilbeau reported this afternoon that QB Andrew Hatch will not be returning to the team. Les Miles confirmed the info today, saying that Hatch may be planning to transfer back to Harvard.

Hatch was 3-0 as a starter last season, completing 25 of 45 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. He suffered a season-ending leg injury in the loss to Georgia.

It will be interesting to see where Hatch ends up, as this article in The Daily Pennsylvanian from last April states that Harvard is not accepting transfers for the next two years.

Jarret Lee didnt show toughness? He wasnt that great but he didnt stop trying. I would say JL doesnt get enough credit.

I wish him the best. He stepped in when the team needed him, he gave it his all and showed toughness that Jarret Lee could only dream of. I doubt he thought he would ever actually be a starter, but he did. I hear Peveto is trying to woo him to NW.

If football coaches have any pull at all at Harvard (which they may not) then he'll get the transfer. Miles will do what he can and surely Harvard wouldn't mind seeing him on the gridiron either. Sorry his LSU tenure hasn't worked out, he lived the dream in Tiger Stadium and let's hope he can live the dream with a Harvard degree.

So if he leaves and Herman Johnson is going, what story will be told by every announcer in every LSU game played for the next four years? There will be no Transfered from Harvard story or biggest baby ever born in La story.
