Former Ohio State and current Seatle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was on the The Pivot podcast recently and crowned LSU as 'Wide Receiver U' over his alma mater. Per Athlon Sports:
quote:

The Seattle Seahawks wideout and former Ohio State star made the proclamation on The Pivot podcast, choosing LSU over his own alma mater.

“Right now, this second, I would go LSU. This second. Shoutout to them boys,” Smith-Njigba said. “They’re good. Receiver U right now? Yeah, I’d give it to them.“

The debate over which program produces the best NFL receivers has raged for years, with Ohio State and LSU the clear frontrunners of late. Both schools have stocked the league with several Pro Bowlers and All-Pros.

This cannot even be debated at the current moment. LSU has four of the top 10 receivers in the league. One of those guys just one the triple crown.

What’s great is the OSU post going around with the amount of money 8 of the OSU WRs in the NFL are making. They claim it makes the WRU. The combined total of those 8 players is maybe $20 million more than Chase and Jefferson combined. Once you add in Nabers and Thomas, LSU takes the lead. I actually think Nabers alone gives LSU the lead. That’s not even counting Boutte, Gage or Marshall. OSU thinks the total number of WRs in the league is more important than actual production.
