Former LSU analyst and assistant coach Bob Diaco is reportedly leaving Brian Kelly's staff to join Bill Belichick's North Carolina program as a linebackers coach.
Diaco was initially hired as a senior defensive analyst in the spring of 2023 but took over special teams and outside linebackers when LSU shuffled coaches around after Jimmy Lindsey stepped away for health concerns.
Diaco moved back to his senior defensive analyst role last season when Kelly hired Slade Nagel as special teams coordinator and tight end coach.
Nagel left LSU's staff in December to become the offensive coordinator at Houston. Coach Kelly has not named a new special teams coordinator or tight end coach yet.
