Brian Kelly Talks About LSU's Departures In The Transfer Portal

LSU coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters on Friday and was asked about the transfer portal and gave insight into why players choose to leave the program.

Kelly explained that it really isn't personal and that it usually boils down to playing time:

"I think we have 16 guys that went into the portal, Kelly said. "Usually, 90% of the guys are going in because of playing time. Or other reasons."

"We probably have two guys in there that just didn't add up to us."

"Most of the time, we are trying to find a place where they can go out and play. And we're supporting them. And then there are guys where it just wasn't the right fit. The guys in the program know that, too, because they see it every day."
