During his weekly press conference on Monday, head coach Brian Kelly provided a lengthy but overall positive injury update heading into Saturday's game against Vanderbilt.
DL Bernard Gooden - bruised collarbone
"It's very sore right now. But clean, no break. This is a short-term thing and one where he will have to manage the pain, relative to how we go through the week."
DL Jimari Butler - ankle
"He has an ankle injury, it's lateral, though, not high ankle. I would say he's probable."
WR Aaron Anderson - leg
"He looked good; we'll continue to progress with him."
RB Caden Durham - hip pointer
"It was mild, but it affected him a little bit. He'll be fine."
C Braelin Moore - stinger
"It's under control. We did an MRI. It looked good."
OG Paul Mubenga - ankle
"He's making progress. We expect him to be available this week."
QB Garrett Nussmeier - ankle
"He had a slight ankle sprain. We feel like he's going to be fine.
LB Whit Weeks
"He's just sore from a previous injury."
