LSU defensive line coach traveled up to Greenwich, Connecticut, this week to visit elite pass rusher Mekai Brown and offer him a scholarship.

Brown, a 6-7, 230-pound prospect from Greenwich Country Day, is rated the No. 6 edge rusher and the 57th overall player in the country for the class of 2027, according to 247Sports.

Brown was never offered by the previous coaching staff, but did receive an offer from Ole Miss last October when Lane Kiffin was still in Oxford.

I like where coach is recruiting. He is in those areas LSU has a very small foot print in the past.

Northeast is far from a football hotbed. However, when they do pump out some guys, there are some absolute dudes who come from that region. Good get if this happens.
