"I'm very proud to be in this situation," Guice said. "I'm blessed. I'm just thanking God for this."
The Catholic-Baton Rouge five-star running back said he wanted to play wide receiver in the Army Bowl because he wanted to expand his horizons and improve his skill set. It turned out to be an MVP-worthy switch.
Guice caught a bowl-record 92-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and added a 61-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter for a new Army Bowl-record 153 receiving yards on his way to being named the game's MVP and helping the West team to a 39-36 victory.
