Recap: Tigers continue poor road defense, lose to Aggies 83-73

This one will be short and sweet; defense. LSU continues to lose games due to poor defense. They have given up 83, 87, 91, 74, 82, and 80 in their last six games. Over their last 4 away games they are giving up an average of 86 points per game. They haven't held an opponent under 1 point per possession since an 81-58 victory over Vanderbilt.

This one is a tough pill to swallow. It takes LSU squarely off the bubble and throws them into a group of teams who are just trying to stay afloat. LSU still is in a good position to host an NIT game or two if they can take care of business going forward, but it would take a near miracle at this point to get into the NCAA tournament.

LSU scored more than any opposition to go into Reed Arena, but it wasn't enough as they allowed aTm to hit 44% of their three pointers, 51% of their two pointers, and outrebounded LSU by 7. LSU was led by Shavon Coleman who scored 21 points. O'Bryant (15), Mickey (13), and Martin (11) also scored in double figures. Every time LSU would try to make a run, the Aggies stepped up and hit shots.

The Tigers shot 59% from inside but only 25% from three point range. LSU had a 12:12 ast:to ratio. Anthony Hickey had a 6:1 ratio to increase his SEC leading 3.6 ratio.
