The LSU Basketball season kicked off Tuesday night with the Tigers taking on Southeastern LA at the PMAC.

Noticeably missing was former player Wayde Sims, who was tragically shot and killed a little over a month ago. To remember Sims, many players honored him by writing his name and number on their shoes.

Following Tuesday night's game, LSU will play a tribute video highlighting Sims time at LSU and also in High School at U-High in Baton Rouge. Head coach Will Wade is expected to give a speech after the video.

Wayde was a good kid. I got the chance to meet him last year...tragic the way he went. There's no reason that he shouldn't have been out there last night playing. RIP Wayde
