Per ESPN: ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands -- Trey Freeman led Old Dominion with 25 points, and the Monarchs beat LSU 70-61 on Friday in the first round of the Paradise Jam tournament.
The junior guard, who transferred from Campbell and sat out last season, has led Old Dominion (3-0) in scoring in each of its three games this season.
The Monarchs are trying to become the first two-time winner in the 14-year history of the Paradise Jam men's event.
