Per LSUSports.net: BATON ROUGE – In a tightly contested bout in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center Tuesday night, LSU defeated Memphis 85-76 to advance to 3-0 on the season.
Junior guard Skylar Mays had a season-high and team high, 19 points in the victory. Freshman forward Emmitt Williams finished with 11 points and registered 10 rebounds, six on the offensive end, to cap off his second double-double this season. Sophomore guard Tremont Waters registered the same amount of assists as points, eight. As a team, the Tigers had 10 steals, led by Waters and freshman guard Ja`Vonte who each had three takeaways.
