BATON ROUGE, La. – Second baseman Jayden Davis’ go-ahead home run in the top of the eighth inning Friday night lifted sixth-ranked Vanderbilt to a 8-6 win over eighteenth-ranked LSU inside Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
With the loss, LSU fell to 21-11 on the season and 3-8 in the SEC, while the Commodores improved to 24-7 and 7-4 in the SEC.
The Tigers return Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. CT to take on Vanderbilt in the final game of the series. The contest can be streamed on SEC Network+, and it can be heard on the LSU Sports Radio Network affiliates.
