JACKSONVILLE – The top-ranked LSU baseball team began the Live Like Lou Jax Classic with a 14-7 victory over Indiana Friday afternoon at VyStar Ballpark in Jacksonville.

LSU returns to action on Saturday to take on Notre Dame in Game Three of the Jax Classic. The contest is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. CT on D1Baseball.com with Lyn Rollins and Ben McDonald continuing to call Tiger baseball for the remainder of the weekend. Fans can also listen to LSU Sports Radio Network to catch the action from the Sunshine State.

With 18 hits on the afternoon, six LSU Tigers had at least two hits to lead LSU over the Hoosiers. LSU first baseman Zach Yorke led the way, going 3-for-5 with a three-run home run and four total RBI. Freshman Mason Braun displayed his skills coming off the bench to go 3-for-3 with two RBI from a ringing single up the middle.

LSU reliever Gavin Guidry (2-0) earned the victory after tossing 1.0 inning and giving up a single hit with no runs allowed and one strikeout.
