Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze is reportedly hiring DJ Durkin as his new defensive coordinator.
Durkin heads to Auburn after serving as Texas A&M's defensive coordinator and linebacker coach last season. He replaces Ron Roberts, who left Auburn for a Florida defensive staff job.
Durkin has been the defensive coordinator at Ole Miss and Florida in the past and was the head coach at Maryland from 2016-2018.
