Referring to him as the white guy and referring to Gurley by his name is what made it racist. You should have called him the kid who "de-committed from Tech before it was too late" or something like that if you really want to hit a nerve with them....

I wonder if they even realized it could be taken as offensive. I didn't even realize what was racist until Zach klein mentioned it was a game against a HBC. HBC as term itself is kind of racist....
