Im ready to hear about how I know nothing about college football, Some will question if I have ever even seen a game. Here it goes, why should Eason start over Fromm when he is healthy? Opinions?

I think you stay with the hot hand, which is clearly Fromm. At the same time, I'm not going to question the staff that watches these guys play every day unless what they put out there takes a clear step backwards.

Until then, I don't pretend to know more about our players than them.

Prior to this past week, I felt like Eason should be the starter when healthy.
Fromm won the job in Athens this weekend though imo. It would be crazy to take the ball out of his hands right now.

Like Kirby has said.... The Positions will be won in practice... He treats the QB position just like a CB position battle....

The best that can come from Eason being injured is that he does not like being on the sideline. The injury lights a fire under his butt and he gives it his full effort.

The worst that could happen is that he sulks from the demotion and transfers this winter.

Hopefully he will respond positively and get his head to the same level as his arm.

Simple. Fromm has not shown so far that he can come from behind and win us a close game in a hostile environment. Eason has...multiple times.

I mean I think at this point Fromm starts, if he continues to play well and win games.

However, when/if Fromm does Struggle, which I could see as he is a True Frosh, then Eason is ready to step in and earn his job back.

Make no mistake, Eason is just as talented. With him I truly believe he just needed a little nudge. I'm hoping Fromm has provided that and Eason becomes the QB we all hoped he'd be.

I am 100% not opposed to playing both. Whoever is on, stays int he game. But Fromm must be given the chance to maintain his current level of play.

Did you not watch the Notre Dame game?

We trailed for most of the game. And took the lead for good with about 3 minutes left.

21-20 - Close Game
took lead with 3 minutes to go - come from behind.
on the road/first start...

I think this meets your requirements. Your argument is not valid.

Leading a team down the field in a two minute drill (or less) while time is running out when the oposition knows you have to throw ala TN and Miz last year.

It's a bit different than having 7 minutes left in the game to establish a long drive mixing up the run and pass which is what happened vs ND this year.

Personally I feel like you stay with what is working or "The hot hand" as BranchDawg wisely put it.

That said, if you have another game like MissState and you are up a few TDs at the half, I'd say give Eason a shot to get in the game and show what he can do. If he falls flat, you still have time to manage a win and you learn where you are QB depth wise.

Fromm has shown that he can move the ball with ease against lesser opponents. Eason has never done that consistently.

The old saying - if you have two starting QBs, you don't have a starting QB.

Compare the run game and pass blocking from last year to this year. Not a fair comparison. We won't know until we see Eason work this year with the first team if he can.

He played two series against App State and did absolutely nothing. You can argue that it's the first game of the year and he needs more time to settle in, but Fromm came in cold off the bench and moved the ball easily.

You stay with the hot hand. No reason to overcomplicate this one.

I can see this happening. He is prima donna.
