14-22 against ranked teams since 2007.

Does that sound like a guy that's doing his job to you?
Compared to a 24-13 record through 2006.
4-13 record vs top 10 teams.

I'm curious. When people point out these facts to you, what do you say to counter them?

Don't worry. I'll wait.

Ranked teams are always hard to beat.

Besides, that's the way the ball bounces.

Remember the Auburn game just a few years ago?

the Anti Richt crowd

The reputation of UGA football under Richt is underachieving. That was the resounding sentiment nationally before the Bama game and then again before TN.

They all were right.

Kind of like the dropoff from Gurley to Chubb. Its just not a big one in terms of production. I dont think Chubb would have outperformed Sony's performance by any meaningful amount, and again, he didnt play D.

One thing I'll say on this topic is our game plan almost certainly included Chubb pounding the rock, SM in the slot mixing things up. Both took a step backwards when Chubb went out...my $.02.

Yep, the reason Dooley held on for a gazillion years and was respected is that our team played better against the best teams. We just don't do much of that anymore.

You've got to be kidding.

Chubb is Heisman material. Sony isn't.

Chubb wouldn't have had to play D if he could have played O for the entire game.

That's your problem.

You think we are supposed to win a game against a top 15 team just because we are ranked above them.

That ain't how the ball bounces.

Finally, someone is being honest.

Maybe Richt Haters should try it once in a while.

Forgive me I thought it was the jackass paid 4 million dollars a year job to win those games, or at least half of them damn.

No no no no.

We pay him that much to beat our cupcakes and win the east twice when it's down for 5 plus years.

I mean everyone gets raises when they do a shite job? Right?

Oh wait...

Provide the link to that national poll.

I think the main reason UGA has underachieved in past years under Richt is injuries.

You can pay someone $100 million dollars a year and the team will still lose some games against top 15 teams just because of the way the ball bounces.

Remember Auburn a few years ago?

That is a perfect example of losing a game because of the way the ball bounced.

There is no national poll on UGA underachieving. Just open your ears and eyes in these days of mass media.

We have run into our share recently for sure, but what we are talking about here is a 10 year skid.

Surely Lambert's perfect long pass that would have tied the UT game should have been caught, right?

You keep harping on this when you're missing the bigger point. You've missed the bigger point during the whole thread. A game with Tennessee should never come down to needing a long bomb to tie it late. Tennessee is awful.

Even if Davis had caught it, Tennessee wouldn't have been in clock killing mode on offense and probably would have scored again anyways.

At this point, I really think you're just trolling people.

Then don't act like there was a national poll on UGA underachieving.

A few members of the mass media who are Georgia haters saying it doesn't make it so.

It seems like we have major injuries every year when we have a chance to win it all.

After you root for UGA for 50 years like I have then 10 years is just like a flash in the pan.

Why do some people think because we have top ten classes almost every year that means we should never lose a game to an inferior team or play a lousy game once in a while?

Never? Who said never? Try two or three head scratchers a year for the past decade. I mean, what planet am I on here??

Clemson, yes Clemson hasn't lost to an unranked team since 2011.
