So what happened in 2012? All that experienced talent, such a mediocre defense

2012 defense was awesome, what the frick are you talking about?

John Jenkins got fat and lazy toward the end of the season and ended up being ineligible for the bowl game in Neb Part I. We gave up alot of rushing yards on paper, particularly at the end of the season when we played our last two games against GT and Bama, two of the nations top rushing teams.

The secondary was very good under Grantham in 2012.

What was the ranking of our defense that year? I heard on the radio recently, we were 17 in the nation in total defense that year. I haven't independently confirmed that.

Jarvis Jones, Amarlo Herrera, Alec Ogletree, Geathers, Garrison Smith, mediocre?

What the hell are you talking about?

Our defense is going to be better than last years just because of the fact we got more experience than last year. I can't say Grantham was doing a good job at Georgia because he was not doing good. Brendan Langley started the season and made some boneheaded mistakes against South Carolina and he hardly played anymore after that. Grantham was not doing a good job at using the personnel we had. But like I said the defense will def b better this year but will Pruitt make us good enough to be top 3 in the SEC? I sure as hell hope so

17 in the nation isn't good when you have as much talent as we had.

We gave up 350 yards rushing in the most important game in the last 10 years of the program.

Gave up 44 points to a UT team that went 5-7.

Got fricking dominated at South Carolina.

We were unbelievably mediocre with a defense that had 8 players who were on NFL rosters the next season.

Exactly what I came to post.

This along with the player quotes in the OP really don't give rig much of a leg to stand on. He's playing the contrarian just to play the contrarian. He doesn't actually believe any of it.
