How was his offensive line last year? How good was their RB? Did he start with decent field position? What was their % of 3rd and 7+ yards? What was the situation in which his interceptions were thrown?
I honestly think if he wants to attend UGA and fight for the job, more power to him and us. We have a brand new offense, a great running game, good WRs and a decent OL.
No time like now to bring in a guy whose played some of the top talent in the country over the past 3 years

My issue is that he is basically doing a country-wide tour of many top programs after leaving ND because he wasn't guaranteed the starting role.
If he left ND and said that he wanted to be closer to home, always wanted to play for Richt, wanted to play for the dawgs and make a playoff run...I would be more on board. Not completely sold, because I think he's turnover prone and that is our biggest question right now as it is, but I would like to see how the situation played out.
Jimbo was quoted as saying "We're negotiating". I just don't like the way the whole thing has unraveled, and it doesn't appear like it will be resolved anytime soon. More of a distraction than anything else.

Yea I saw that as well. He also followed it up with he (Golston) would come in and compete for the starting position.
Negotiating what exactly? How much he can get away with in comparison with Winston?

I worry for all of you. May Everett remove your blinders and open your eyes. Praise be to Todd.

May as well put Jacob Park as the starter since he too likes to scramble.
GOLSTON GOLSTON GOLSTON
Golson is turnover-prone. He had 22 turnovers last season (14 interceptions and 12 turnovers). He was also surprisingly sacked 27 times in 2014. And while he’s listed at 6-foot, Golson had a number of passes knocked down at the line of scrimmage.
One alarming stat with Golson is how he fared against the AP’s top 25 teams in 2014. Golson completed just 79 of 147 passes (53 percent) with seven touchdowns, seven interceptions and 12 sacks last season. And in 2012, also against top 25 teams, he completed just 63 of 125 (50 percent) of his passes.

I know it's not happening, but the more I think about him in our offense with a tailor made offensive package, the more I want him here.
Give me as much talent as I can get, and I'll deal with the rest.
(btw, I saw a road kill kitten this morning)

I honestly don't care who Golson has played against. What did he do against those top teams? Anyone can play against any team, and simply showing up to the game is not good enough, IMO.
Jeff Driskel played against Alabama last year but sucked badly in the loss. Doesn't mean I'd want Driskel starting over Ramsey or Bauta just because he's got experience against one of the four teams to make the first playoff.

Tough to do much of anything without a run game and with a shitty OL blocking for you.....just saying.

Take it for what it's worth, but Everett Golson and Mark Richt both began following each other on Twitter last night. CMR is the only coach out of the schools Golson is considering that he followed. This shite is getting reallllllll interesting

I missed the first part. Must have skimmed over it.

So... What the hell happened today? Richt seems to be evil right now... I like

I think that proves my point. If he wasn't able to do much against top teams, why even mention his experience against them?
Look, if he winds up coming to UGA, I'll support him and hope he brings us all the way, but I just don't think he's the next messiah. I actually think it will mess with the team's mojo if he joins up, but at least it would pretty much solidify Eason's role as the starter for next year.

I am glad you saw the light. It took me a while but last night I sat down and analyzed what was brought to me.
1) He didn't play in the SEC so everything he ever did is irrelevant
2) He has thrown over 6,000 ints since he was born
3) Faton Bauta tries hard and Everett Golson doesn't
4) Everett Golson has trouble with intimacy
5) Everett Golson is afraid of Malik Zaire and that will translate on the field
6) Brice Ramsey can throw the football out of Sanford Stadium. He may have run the wing t in HS but he clearly is more ready for this offense than Golson
7) Our current QBs have 2 months more experience with the offense than Golson and there is no fathomable way he can pick that offense up. No possible way.
8) If Golson had to cheat at Notre Dame then how could he possibly pass a Sport Management class in Athens?
9) Mark Richt is a god fearing man and god would never have replaced Peter with a Islamic transfer
10) Our current QBs have the emotional maturity of a HS girl's basketball team and if we bring another QB in there is no way we can fix their psyche. All of those off season pizza parties Richt had hosted would have been for nothing.
11) The national championship, game against FSU, USC, Stanford etc is impressive but more can be said about Ramsey's and Bauta's performance against the 2s at G Day
12) We have Nick Chubb, who cares who we have at QB? Heisman voters will be more impressed that Chubb succeeded with a vegetable at QB
13) The state of Georgia has decided the forward pass is for pussies

You're right... Everett Golson gives gives UGA the opportunity to win now. Those who think otherwise aren't even worth debating with.
