Do we know that Gurley has admitted to anything?

well, if gurley didn't admit to taking any money I doubt he'd be missing 2 games. We wouldn't suspend him simply on teh basis of someone saying something.

I could send an email to deadspin tomorrow and say I paid money to arkansas' starting OL but it doesn't mean shite unless there is some sort of proof, or they admitted to it. The fact that we are still in teh dark makes it pretty evident that gurley admitted something, or there is proof he took something.

Your thought process on the required transparency of state employees seems to be slightly off base.

With the logical capacity you've shown so far, I'm not unduly concerned about your critiques of my future posts.

Indeed, I was just venting out of frustration because of this whole situation.

We've already done the work of making sure no memorabilia dealers are going to come forward and accuse him of anything (not that they would anyways, you have to be a special type of stupid to commit career suicide like that, Bryan Allen was the outlier for sure) so I doubt much comes of it.

Seth Emerson:

quote:

UGA AD Greg McGarity, retiring from Indianapolis, said a statement on the Todd Gurley situation will be coming in about an hour.

McGarity wouldn't say whether it's a ruling or just a statement. Declined comment other than saying statement coming.

Don't like the sound of that, but hopefully we will at least know Gurley's status for the near future.

Yea that doesn't sound encouraging. If a decision had been made that was good, I think we'd find out before he makes an official statement like that.

So likely either no decision has been made and he has good reason to expect it won't be made before tomorrow; or a bad decision has been made. Let's hope it's the former. Seems too fast for the latter.

Would love to be wrong though!

And that's what sucks because a direct ruling (giving time served of course) is the only way he's suiting up this weekend. Just about anything else and we stay in 'wait and see mode.'
