At least 13-0 conference champions won't be left out due to subjective "eye-tests."
The debate will shift to which 10-2 team should get the last at-large spot and which G5 team should get in. So controversy will still exist, but I cannot see anything of this magnitude happening....

Based on the tie-ins, that should be the case. ACC champion gets a spot and highest ranked at-large from the SEC/Big Ten/Notre Dame....

I think the highest ranked ACC team available is locked into the Orange Bowl. Assuming FSU makes the playoffs, that would probably be Louisville....
