I certainly hope not but you never know with all the losses we've had. QB will determine a lot.

Not sure why anyone is down-voting this. It's simply reality.
The regression with our offense was a reality. The cause of the regression is what is up for debate. Saying Fromm sucked is saying that it's Fromm's fault that our offense sputtered when I would argue (and have, many times) that the real issues had to do with our pass catchers and their lack of growth over the course of the season.

The amount of times I said "WTF?!?" when a ball went in the dirt in front of or 5 feet over the head of a wide open receiver was astounding.
There were a few of those that appeared to obviously be on Fromm, but those were a statistical anomaly compared to the number of incompletions that occurred for other reasons, such as bad route running.

Same goes for the 8+ yard statue-crumbling sacks he took,
Fields was sacked a lot more times than Fromm. He got through his progressions quickly and got rid of the ball before he had time to take sacks.

as well as the clearly increased volume of throw-aways when we could all see receivers and RB check-downs wide open.
This goes back to the previous bullet about not taking many sacks. Fromm didn't sit in the pocket and run around waiting for someone to get open. He went through his progressions and if he didn't see anyone he could safely throw to when he was looking at them on his progression, he would check it down or throw it away. Any receiver can get open eventually if the QB has an infinite amount of time to throw it, but backyard ball wasn't the type of offense we played.

CKS wanted to play it safe and not turn the ball over and Fromm executed that plan very well. Unfortunately we weren't very successful on offense because the safe plan didn't fit very well with our offensive skill players.

This didn't happen in previous Fromm years. It was really perplexing to see and I still don't understand why he regressed like that. It wasn't completely on the receivers and playcalling.
What's so perplexing to you about the state of our offense last season? Most of us knew we'd see struggles throwing the ball even before the season started because of the turnover with our receivers. Some of us merely assumed that the struggles would lessen as the season went on due to the natural progression the receivers should make with the trial by fire experience they would receive. What was frustrating was the lack of progression they made overall.
