According to Donnan he’s been progressing quickly and takes well to coaching. I wouldn’t count out a guy with all the physical tools who we could bring along slowly and have for 2-4 years

He mentioned Borrow being the exception. I didn't quote that part.

seriously doubt Mathis , ever plays real minutes at QB for the Dawgs.

Kinda agree with you.I remember a guy posting on here who claimed to be a brain surgeon and he said it was virtually impossible for him to come back from his surgery

Little bit of what Dr. Dawg said

quote:

Brain abscess is known complication/sequelae of frontal sinus infections. And you don't give antibiotics for a simple cyst removal, definitely not 6 week worth.

It has never been reported as an abscess. But medically an abscess is what makes sense. The surgery is the same. You still have to cut open someone's skull and remove it. So the chance of him playing football again is the same for both conditions.

Not real optimistic.

quote:

That was no "cyst". That was a brain abscess. You don't get IV antibiotics for 6 weeks after a "cyst". And I don't see him ever being medically cleared for contact after a craniotomy.

It was reported to be an abscess by multiple outlets. It also not like cutting out a tumor. You don't cut it out, you drain it. It's usually between the brain and the skull. I've also read on medical sites that most people make a full recovery. The only reason I know any of this is because I had a friend who had this. He made a full recovery.

None of this means he'll ever play, but it seems like he won't because UGA is afraid of the legal ramifications if they clear him and something happens, which is a reasonable worry. If that is the case, they need to let him know.

I'm quoting Dr Dawg and this what he also said

He seems to know his way around the procedure.Ill defer to him.

let's just face it, this coming year is gonna be a slight step back on offense.

I really don’t think we can get worse than we were this season. We aren’t replacing fr/so Fromm, we’re replacing shitty junior year Fromm. He sucked last season. We probably would’ve had a better offense last season if he weren’t our starter.

I welcome a grad transfer if this season’s Fromm is what he’ll continue to be.

I'm not going to bag on Fromm but a more accurate and more mobile QB could improve the offense ... especially if the WRs improve.

Saw an interesting qb prospect I think it was a bama fan brought up. They have Bryce Young coming in. If Mac Jones doesnt win the starting job he could see him entering the portal and coming to us.

It would be too late and I fully expect Mac to win the job, or at least start the first few games.

Jett Duffey seems like he is going to Tulane. Fortunately, UGA has taken over as the leader for Newman from Wake.

Fromm didn't have a great season last year. It was average at best. With a more experienced supporting cast and a more dynamic kid at QB, the offense might very well be a good bit better.

Either way the offense will be no worse, and with a better defense next year's team has a very good chance to be better than 2019.

Not sure why anyone is down-voting this. It's simply reality.

The amount of times I said "WTF?!?" when a ball went in the dirt in front of or 5 feet over the head of a wide open receiver was astounding. Same goes for the 8+ yard statue-crumbling sacks he took, as well as the clearly increased volume of throw-aways when we could all see receivers and RB check-downs wide open.

This didn't happen in previous Fromm years. It was really perplexing to see and I still don't understand why he regressed like that. It wasn't completely on the receivers and playcalling.

Yes, it's possible, but it's not likely.
