Donald did a good job tonight but I don't think it'll be enough. He's catching it from all sides and the Dem machine along with his help has painted him into a corner. I think it'll be a landslide. I just hope good conservatives don't get washed out as well.
Time to get on Carolina Trader and get some new items for the gun safe. Also - stock in investment banks and defense contractors should do well.
I may contribute to the Clinton Foundation just to cover my arse. Be warned.

Donald did a horrible job. He's a maniacal idiot who should not even be in the arena. I'm a life-long Republican but I would never vote for him. Until Republicans wise up there will be a Democrat in the White House. It's their own fault.

No one was ever coming for the guns. I can't believe so many people bought into that shite. I've never seen more fear mongering and faux hysteria whipped into a frenzy by something like the NRA did weekly for the last 8 years.
I keep a glock by my bed and smaller hand gun under my seat in my car. There's a LOT I worry about from our political retards in Washington, but some mass exodus of our gun rights isn't one of them. The fact no laws changed but more guns and ammunition was sold should make everyone take a step back and realize who really benefited from these rumors and false reports.

Were you even paying attention? Every time there was a mass shooting or some tragedy involving a gun, the liberals talks about increasing gun control. You remember when they banned "assault rifles" before? Yeah, it's a legitimate fear. The only thing stopping them from really taking away our guns is the Supreme Court. That will change if Hillary gets elected.

Yes, every time a school or theatre was shot up and many kids died they talked about increasing gun control. Would you like to tell me a better time to talk about it?
Let me show you what happened. If someone was stabbed, a bunch of dipshits would think it's clever to yell ban knives as a joke. Whenever a big shooting would happen and a discussion about gun control would arise people would start with this "oh now they're using it for political gain this isn't the time to be talking about gun control". Guess what, it actually is the perfect time to talk about steps we could take to prevent it. The fact is that NOTHING was passed to limit who can buy guns or where you can take them (in fact Georgia relaxed a law allowing them in bars and national parks). So you can say all this white noise crap that's been said for almost a decade with no evidence, but until the smallest steps are taken outside of debating, it's nonsense.
Also, I'm most likely voting trump. That's how much I hate Hillary. But the gun control thing is some seriously irrational fear and on the same level as believing your grandads chain mail.

It's a slippery slope fallacy. If I had the slightest notion that they would be actually confiscating our guns that we legally own, I would be the first to oppose any step towards that, there's just absolutely no possible way they can do that. Not with 300 MILLION guns in rotation (and growing).
A guy who runs gun shows said "It's either two things: They're scared and need to protect [themselves]. Or they're afraid that [the government is] going to take it from them. There's the two things that drive our business."
And it's blatant that the NRA is certainly not gonna stop any of the crazy slippery sloped lies about them coming to take your guns because that's a business too.

Confiscating the private supply of arms is impossible.
Exportation of 12 million undocumented residents is impossible.

Maybe, maybe not.
SC rules no private gun ownership and you have to turn your weapons in. All of them. You don't. You go hunting, game warden arrests you. You use it in self defense, police arrests you.
They don't have to confiscate. It will be a matter of attrition. Eventually, they well get the now legal gun owner and his arms.
And then there is the matter of ammo. Not protected by the Constitution. Make that illegal. Guns useless.

Yep, my best advise to family and friends is be prepared. Yea, there's a lengthy precedent of: this will never happen:
1. There will never be unrestricted abortion.
2. We will never have gay marriage as the law of the land.
3. There will never be unrestricted rights of transsexuals to use the restroom of their choice.
4. We would never disregard existing immigration law.
5. Sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants is just a conservative fantasy.
6. You idiot. We will never have women serving along side men in the military.
7. Freedom of religion will never be compromised. But you best bake that cake for that gay couple regardless of your faith. Right wing religious nuts are just paranoid.

Don't know the purpose of this list. Several of the items are right-wing nut rhetoric that I hear all of the time from zealots (I'm a registered Republican). Several of the items are not things that were/should have been warned against. Several are God-given rights. #7 made me laugh. #9 is not a U.S. Law, and UK residents never had guns in the first place.
It would be logistically impossible for the U.S. Government to take guns away from law-abiding citizens. And no national politician has ever run successfully on that platform. The NRA has you suckered into supporting them. And they'll keep it up as it's worked so well for them in the past.
