the only reason Miles is considered suuuuuuch a better coach than richt is because of the title
That worst part of that whole deal is we were arguably a better team at the end of the year that year.
His similarities to Richt are unbelievable. Without Pelini running a nasty defense, he's not very successful early on. Just like Richt and Van Gorder.
Pelini leaves and LSU's defense turns into a pile of lukewarm shite overnight. Like Van Gorder - only Martinez held it together for at least the last half of 2007.
Chavis comes in and takes a couple years to get it going, produces two years of great defense, earns the phrase, "third and Chavis" then leaves. Just like Grantham.
Steele comes in and has a decent defense right out the gate. Just like Pruitt.
Miles and Richt both look slightly lost - all the time. Although I think Miles is legit lost. Something's wrong with that dude. For real.

If les miles didn't have the luckiest national title in over 20 years him and richt would actually have extremely similar resumes.
I don't see a losing season on Miles' resume. Also, I don't think he has any loses as bad as the ones we've seen against Vandy, UCF, or Colorado.
Pre-2008 Richt's body of work could stand up to just about anyone. Since then, not so much.

LM is 110-31 at LSU (78%). MR is 143-51 (74%). Those include this year.
Through completed seasons, LM wins an average of 10.3 games per season. MR wins an average of 9.7.
LM has 3 west titles in 10 years, MR has 5 in 14 years.
LM has 2 SEC titles, MR has 2 SEC titles.
LM is 6-4 in bowl games (60%), MR is 9-5 (64%).
LM has been to 3 BCS bowls, MR has been to 3 BCS bowls.
YOu can slice it up in whichever way you want, but the point stands that outside of the indescribable luck that got LM a national title, both coach's resumes at current schools are pretty darn similar.

It also stands to reason that we could have had that same luck in 2007, since we were in almost a comparable position to LSU.
WG - do you think LSU should get rid of him? And do you think they actually will?

Idk, it's not my team so I don't know enough about them to say. I guess just looking paper I'd say no, but again I'm not really in tune with their program.

Hell no, not this season.

Aren't you the one quoted saying that it's bullshite that Auburn got to win a NC and fire its coach before we got to do either one?
Haha ya

He's taken two teams to the NC game, though. Meanwhile Georgia isn't legally allowed to make eye contact with the crystal football.

Les Miles and Mark Richt are like Bruce Willis and Samuel Jackson in Unbreakable. For every inexplicable loss Richt has, Miles pulls some magic out of his hat.

I try to come to logical, unbiased opinions when looking at programs, etc. When I look at richt, I see a coach who can't put it together at the same time. He's had great offenses and great defenses but never at the same time.
When I look at les miles, I see chaos.

When I look at Miles I see what happens when you tell a retarded child they can do anything when they grow up.
